I was a little surprised we let him go. I did not care re Carpenter. He had no future with us
Lol. Watch him leave the Rangers and go to the Yankees and do as well there as Carpenter did.

Well I hate to say it but Allard is probably better but I bet Dallas was promised 2 starts. From Jeff Wilson:
For now, the Friday and Saturday starters against the Red Sox are listed as TBA. The Rangers could put Arihara in front of Keuchel, thanks to the Monday off day, but interim manager Tony Beasley said he expects both to pitch.
He and general manager Chris Young were planning to discuss the situation Tuesday, but there isn’t much to discuss. The Rangers don’t have many options.
Kolby Allard pitched well his last time out at Triple A Round Rock. Don’t shoot the messenger. A more likely scenario would be to use an opener ahead of both pitchers to reduce the times they would have to face the top of the Boston order.
Doing that in back-to-back games, though, could strain the bullpen.
Carpenter had no future here, but neither does Calhoun and Miller so the Rangers would have loved Carpenter being here, had they known. We didn't think so, but then we don't get to call the shots -- for some reason.I was a little surprised we let him go. I did not care re Carpenter. He had no future with us
Do you think he was in any position to be getting any promises? LolWell I hate to say it but Allard is probably better but I bet Dallas was promised 2 starts.
Hard to visulize how things can get so messed up. Have known all season we had pitching needs and we solve them with Keuchel. lolCarpenter had no future here, but neither does Calhoun and Miller so the Rangers would have loved Carpenter being here, had they known. Does he have a pulse?Keuchel is only here because of injuries to other starters. He wasn't brought into the fold to solve any problem beyond needing someone with a pulse.
Lol. Keuchel stays in the rotation and Arihara is taken out. I have heard when it comes to the lesser of two evils to choose neither, but the Rangers have chosen, and they chose the worst of them.

That may be, but it is still funny that they chose Keuchel to start.my guess is they will hope for the best with Keuchel but will have Arihara behind him for the bulk of that game.

What's sad is that Cole Winn has completely lost his way. By all rights he should have been one of the callups, but he is really messed up.An unofficial "starter" role is pretty much best case scenario with him.
What's funny to me is the Rangers found a guy I have less faith in that Spencer Howard.
Evidently was in a position. Lol. Told ya lolDo you think he was in any position to be getting any promises? Lol
