Why don't you knuckleheads get it ? I'm certainly not crowning him anything. I'm saying it's unfair evaluation on his performance based on.....basically a rookie and no run game. I am not going to come out all high and mighty and criticise any Qb that had to deal with the obstacles he was dealt with and still have Denver in contention till last two weeks. When the criticism on Trevor comes from sources that actually have experience and knowledge of that position and what it takes to play it, then I'll listen . Untill that happens, I will continue to support him until HE shows me he can't be a good qb in Denver with a good run game.
I assume you give the same looooong leash to Lynch - who actually was a rookie?

What exactly was unfair about our evaluation of him? It sounds to me like you're saying that any criticism of Siemian is unfair because he was only in his second year and the run game was garbage. And if that is what you're saying, I fundamentally disagree with that.

However, if that's not what you're saying, I would love to know exactly what was said that was so unfair.

I believe I fall more into the 'shit head' category than the 'knucklehead' catogory... at least according to my ex's

I would say good chance Vance Joseph would keep Wade though. Worked under him in Houston and actually credits him with being one of his biggest mentors. Kubiak fits in that category as well.

Something to keep in mind is that Elway talked a lot about the next coach needing to be a great communicator and person who can work with a lot of different personalities among the players/coaches/FO. In the past this is an area that Kyle Shanahan has struggled a lot. I would recommend reading up on his relationaship with Donovan McNabb and RGIII.

He also was thought to have hired a staff around himself in Washington that lacked much experience and had no checks and balances to really help balance him out.

both punk assed people .

I agree with Randymon on most things related to Siemian. Yes - he has stuff to work on - and CD's list is a decent one. He did throw short for 1st downs, but the WR happened to be where the ball was thrown.

The question - still open - is can Siemian grow enough to be a top QB? I think he has shown enough that you can't close the book on him.

As we saw with MIA, OAK, DAL, and HOU , having or not having a quality backup is crucial.
Nice to have two kids that look to battle it out next year. At least I hope so.

Obviously " fundamentally " pointless with you. :)

I don't think anyone in here has suggested we dump Siemian over the offseason. I say keep both Siemian and Lynch and let them duke it out. Both are under contract for cheap.

I only see Wade staying if we hire Joseph.

Well if Wade is staying then good chance the entire defensive staff stays.

Yes most of the offensive staff is gone but I think most of us think that to be a good thing. Couple of them I wouldn't mind keeping and really hoping we keep our strength and conditioning staff.

My 2 cents, while ignoring everyone else's posts, are as follows.

Hire a young offensive minded coach. Tell Skippy he can play in the offensive sandbox all he wants, but stay off the grass where the big kids play defense. Rehire Mr. Phillips and staff.

Now, if Wade wants out, then all bets are off and I don't really care who we hire, as long as they don't suck.

I'll only be mad if we do two things.

1. Hire a D coordinator as HC leaving Wade out to dry.
2. Leave Wade out to dry.

3. Switch back to a 4-3.

Why are you avoiding my question? What exactly was unfair about CD's assessment?

What is the track record of 2nd time around coaches in the NFL? Coughlin won SBs, Shanny won SBs, Carroll won SB, Belecheck won SBs, Kubiak won a SB, Fox got to a SB.

Lets put the band back together,

McDaniels
McCoy
Nolan

Honestly, if the Broncos interviewed someone with McDaniels' resume, I'd be extremely pleased if they hired him. But of course, McDaniels is persona non grata in Dove Valley, so that ain't happening, even though I think he'd be a great hire without his history in Denver.
