Sorry, couldn't resist. Sure AJ and JD have plenty to talk about.
Maybe they'll get together and swap nightmare contract for nightmare contract.Sorry, couldn't resist. Sure AJ and JD have plenty to talk about.

Andrus and Choo for Kemp and Upton.
We'll give you a semi-usable SS and a mostly worthless RF for the 2nd worst position player in all of baseball and the better of the two Upton strikeout machines.
Lose-lose for everyone... sound good?
UPDATE: Neftali Feliz elects free agency | HardballTalk
Neftali Feliz no longer a Texas Ranger. Wow.
Greinke gave up just 1 hit in 8 innings last night and extended his scoreless streak to 35.2 innings. He now has an ERA of 1.39. He just seems to be getting better and better.

I'm so glad we refused to give up Mike Olt for him. And then turned around and dealt Olt as part of a package for Matt Garza the next season.Greinke gave up just 1 hit in 8 innings last night and extended his scoreless streak to 35.2 innings. I'm not surprised he went this route. But I can't imagine a team signing him to a ML contract.
However, I wish the guy well. Really do.
His ERA since he's been a Dodger, 2.63-2.71 and 1.39, while his WHIPs stand at 1.114-1.152 and 0.843.
That $147 mil investment sure looks pretty good doesn't it?

LAD is 8-2 in games he started which more than covers their NLW lead at the midpoint. That may be a better measure of his contribution and worth of the investment than ERA and WHIP.
Problem is the 8 no decisions which goes to the poor run support. Can't continue to waste talent like that without it biting your butt sooner or later.
It wouldn't have helped us now to have traded for half of a season of Greinke in 2012 though. Was it straight up Olt for Greinke or were other players involved?I'm so glad we refused to give up Mike Olt for him. So you are correct ... Greinke is pitching better although the game results could easily be lots better and just slightly higher offensive output Greinke could easily be 18-0 at the break.
Considering the Angels sent Segura and two pitchers, I highly doubt it. I thought it was a Profar and Olt combo, but I've slept a bunch since then.It wouldn't have helped us now to have traded for half of a season of Greinke in 2012 though.
