I actually think there were quite a few of us who thought he was too much of a mental case at the time and he would break down in a big situation. I admit I forgot about that until you mentioned it earlier.

Yes this is the most accurate way of putting it re Greinke,making him untrustworthy in high leverage situations. But he proved that wrong with LAA and has never looked back. He does enjoy those pitcher friendly parks though

The series itself may not be of great significance. But it certainly could help determine what the Rangers may want to do before the trade deadline, seeing that both Rodriquez and Gallardo are both pitching.

What a nice fella.

I was sitting at the bar, having lunch, at the old, Friday's in Arlington when he was pitching, and he came in, sat down a few seats over (bar area wasn't busy).

We acknowledged each other, and he asked if I was done with my newspaper. I was finishing up, and shoved the read portion toward him, passed the Metro section too, after being done.

I did some paperwork, made a few more notes, got ready to leave, and the bartender said "Mr H took care of ya."

Never saw him before or since. But he sure had one great knuckle-ball.
