I know I’ve been defending the coaches all season long but I am now doing an about face. We’ve had tons of key drops and fumbles this season along with shitty penalty’s on offense. Coincidence that Josh, Ivan, and Scar are all gone? I don’t think so. And I don’t know what it says about guys like Troy who have been around for a while and haven’t risen to the top.
We all hope for the best and we all think we can turn it around. We really need to give Matt another try at least one year

I disagree on this. I am not totally opposed to giving Matt another year but if we get a chance on a better OC, I want the OC.

I need to retract this statement. BB will give Matt another year, I feel he needs to be replaced

I woke up thinking this is not what I want, I do think it's what will happen.

At this point I think the Krafts would pay coaches don't count against salary cap. Do it soon so that the offense can get the playbbok.

I have a gut feeling that Kraft is going to give Bill a choice. "My way or the Highway".

Kraft built Myra's father's business that was just about broke into a solid cardboard recycling business. Then he turned it into an empire when he got into custom cardboard boxes and landed the USPS, FedEX and UPS. He really hit the jackpot when he talked Jeff Bezos into using his boxes for ten years and Bezos extended it for ten more. In the meantime Kraft bought the three largest sawmills in Maine and now cuts 28% of all construction pine used in the United States.

The Patriots were a fan's dream for him and he turned a shitbix into treasure chest. BB had a lot to do with it, but like every business, you have to adapt or die. The Patriots are not adapting and Johnathan Kraft will be the President and Co-Owner when Robert sails into the senset. He's making most of the decisions that we don't see or know about. Robert is the headline grabber.

Back to the 2023 decisions. BB has bitched about Kraft forcing him to trade JG instead of TB. We all know that JG hasn't been able to stay on the field for a complete season and TB is TB. Now Bill is in a very awkward spot. MJ has shown that he is not maturing into a leader and has pretty much divided the locker room. His choice of Matt Patricia as the "Play Caller" has not worked. He's doghoused Jerrod Mayo and pretty much instituted Steve Belichick as the unnamed DC. What are the chances that Bill would leave and Steve B would be named HC or DC? What are the chances that Matt Patricia would be the OC or Personnel Specialist? Would Joe Judge be kept as the QB Coach?

Those questions pretty much answer the questions about Bill's coaching choices. He hasn't looked for quality. He's hired relatives and friends that will follow his lead into the Valley of Death without question.

Bill wants Shula's record, but he wants it on his own terms. My guess is that he won't get it in New England.

Can't help how I feel. Just that Bill's been going downhill over the past few years and now the team is getting away from him. IMO, He doesn't have the player's respect enough to get it back.

You really hate Belichick, huh?

Nothing you wrote can be substantiated.

If you can find a quote of BB “bitching” about trading JG and keeping TB please post it.

I hate his decisions over the past three years.

He's all about him and it's time for him to forget about anything but what's best for this team and not his desire to be the winningest coach of all time, regardless if it takes him ten more years of screwing around.

I've lost respect for his style and his arrogance. His answers to the media about simple things have lost their humor and he's just being an ass. They may be a pain in his ass, but now he's making them look better than him.

I can only assume that you're referring to Belichick. Everything I wrote about Kraft can easily be found anywhere.

It's common knowledge and I don't do research on demand.

Last I checked - BB becoming the winningest coach ever kinda means the team has to win which, last I checked, is pretty much the definition of "what's best for the team".

A trainer is average, never gets his boxers in title matches. He gets Muhammed Ali who becomes best, wins many titles and now that trainer is great? Muhammed retires, the trainer has ok boxers but again, never any title contenders. BB spent 30% of the cap on WR and TE's. Jonnu, Hunter, and Agholar, no studs. No Tyreek, AJ's, Waddle's types etc. I don't like BB and never have. He is an arrogant and condescending piece of shit, my opinion. I tried watching 2 min of his presser after the Cinci game and I couldn't stomache that man. Jimmy G lasted 6 Q's here beofre he was injured and Mumbler wanted to replace him with TB. The smart one Kraft put his foot down and we went to 4 more SB's and won 2 and how has Jimmy G been with his injuries in SF? BB is just an avg coach, shitty GN and great DC, he is no Andy Reid, par with Pete Carroll and nowhere near a Lombardi, Walsh, Noll, Landry, Shula and maybe not Gibbs who won 3 with 3 different QB;s. We all touted how Mac was the best ready for NFL QB from that draft, had a great year in Bama , fantastic first season and they are ruining this kid, and he is acting out like a baby, never saw that last season

I'm with you on a lot of this. Especially the inability to watch BBs pressers. That shit is way old.

Couple of interesting things now that everyone had a chance to dissect the game.

1. On the first third down, Hunter Henry nran the wrong route, Instead of turning left, he turned right and ran into Jonnu Smith. He caused his own leg injury.

2. On the second third down, Mac signaled the WRs with a tap on his wrist. "Timing play". Both outside receivers have specific cross patterns and Mac drops back and releases. All three WR ran straight downfield. Mac threw the ball into the ground and steamed off the field.

3. Mac's low block on the fumble return cost him $11,139. It was the second time he's been fined this year for a low block. One defensive lineman stated anonymously, "He can expect that we will be coming in low for him. Jones is a dirty player." No one can complain if a DL, LB or Safety takes him out low and blows up his knee.

Less three this comes down to coaching. Basically on one and two you have receivers running the routes incorrectly, on two specifically Mac had nowhere to go with the ball. I do not want to rehash last weeks news but IMO this is coaching Mac or any QB can only do so much, is he making mistakes too? Of course but this seems like poor coaching to me

I agree. But also there seems to be a disrespect for Mac. When players run the wrong route, that's on them.
When WRs ignore an open signal, that's more than a coaching problem, that's a team problem and the coaches need to address that immediately. That was not done until the team went in at the half.

A completely different team came out at the half down 22-0 and screwed up with an opportunity to go ahead with 2 minutes left, after coming back to 22-18. It almost seemed like a couple of guys wanted to stick it to Matt, Bill and Mac. Can't prove it, but it makes me wonder if all of the crap that's going on is worse than anything we're seeing or hearing about.

Not sure players would intentionally put the team at risk, its not what professionals do. But if they are running routes incorrectly or not reading the QBs signals correctly that is coaching. IMO. Why would a player risk his livelyhood to be spiteful again not what I think a professional would do.

Don't forget plenty of the points from that "completely different team" came from a defensive/return gem and an absolute fluke of a play. With those two plays in mind, was it a different team? A different defensive team? or possibly a different Bengals (Bungles?) team?

It's coaching.
If players are not prepared for the game and are not benched, it is on the coach
If the players are not prepared and the assistant coaches do not know, it is on the assistants.

If the players are sabotaging - you are watching "the longest yard" not the Patriots.
