Zappe came out trying too hard and flopped immediately. BOB sat down with him after the first series and he was much, much better from then on.
Zap was 10/12 117 yards and a TD.

Zappe was 10/22 for 117 and a touchdown. Minus his one good throw for 42 yards which was mainly run after catch he was 9/21 for 75 yards.

I'm surprised there were no comments about the pi called on Gonzalez. There was neither PI nor OPI there. Both players made light contact but only because the other player was in the path of the ball.

Every PI should get a quick review and those deemed suspect possibly subject to a longer review. The rush to run plays would need to be prohibited but that action is only useful for stealing calls. A normal play call is enough time for the initial review.

Packers broadcast team noted that it was a bad call.

Exactly. There really isn’t a competition like people think. Read numerous times that Jones(because of his good preseason) is without doubt the #1 and better QB. I don’t think he will ever be a top 10 guy but will be serviceable and with a strong supporting cast could get us to the playoffs on a regular basis.

I re-re-re-read. The NFL+ does not allow Full game replays of all regular season games. I'm going to stick with the $79 plan.

I think the past two drafts have been stellar for Bill.

I think he got lucky with the dregs at QB 3 years ago when he was forced to draft for need rather than best player available.

We'll see Bill picking QB again in the not too distant future.

NFL Network had the Patriots/Packers scheduled for 8:00 PM Last night.

They showed Steelers and Bills for the third time since the game finished.

It would be nice if they stepped up and said, "Due to the Patriot/Packer game being suspended due to player injury the Steelers/Bills will be shown instead. We apologize for any viewer inconvenience." They said nothing.
