Very disapointing game. 2 steps back for sure. Matt Jones IS a rookie and its showing. The defense is not as good as we all thought it was including the Pats.

Now we are fighting to stay in the playoffs. That would really terrible if we blow it. I still think they can pull that off.

I coached football for 44 years and I taught the tiniest little kids to tackle monsters correctly.

Jackson did what I told my kids was a "Blind Roll". That is, head down, curling up and rolling in the hope that you hit something. Jackson did. Jaime Collins.

Piss poor technique and gutless. Remember the blind roll on Gronk?
It wasn't a blind roll until he missed. It was a should block, and yes he would have been better to square him up which would have brought Collins back into the play.... Remember, I'm on the record for stating that type of tackle should be eliminated....

What matters is he's been great for us Pro Bowl caliber play and deserves a huge contract that someone will pay. It boggles my damn mind that anyone has issues with his play as I stated earlier it's asinine.
It's fair to be critical play by play, but it's not fair to collectively judge him by mis-plays. The dude has been stellar an allowed money to be spent on TE's HH and JS as well as Judon.

He's looking for 5/$75M $50m Guaranteed.

If Bill wasn't giving it to Gilmore, Jackson certainly isn't going to get it.

That's not the context you were expressing with your "Cut him by 5PM" comment. With that out of the way, some other team will have to pay that.

It was in response to YR about a huge contract. Try to be less negative with others' comments when you don't understand why or what they are responding to.

His play over the past three games has been less than stellar.

JC had absolutely nothing to do with what other players were paid, and allowed nothing.

And this being JCs second contract it's the big one and he's a Pro Bowl caliber DB. I read something where they indicated BB has a knack for picking CBs late that people over value the position coming out of college and that a lot of teams and GMs don't use a great formula when accessing the position. This being said and I agree in part not sure BB is gonna break the bank on him
Absolutely correct. BB has a history of letting successful DB's walk after 1st contract.
McCourty is the exception. Ty Law? Name someone else?

He spent a lot to get Gilmore but when the time came he let him walk, I trust BB a lot more when it comes to defensive positions than I do offensive positions.

So JC rising to be a #1 corner on a cheap contract didn't allow them to spend money on other positions instead of paying a premium for a #1 CB instead?

Correct. Then a few years later he'll bring him back.

I don't know if/what BB will offer him? Suffice to say if BB doesn't have a solid #1 CB he'll change up his D scheme. He'll find a couple more DE, DL, LB or safties that can rush the passer as well as be decent coverage guys. He'll play a lot more soft zone (ughh).

So if the playoff picture holds true this weekend we play the Bills, again, in Buff?

That would work for me. I think our defense will not let Allen have another day like last time.

What if the Pats win against Miami this weekend and the Bills lose to Atlanta? Does that scenario still put the Pats against the Bills?

All these scenarios are getting confusing. I guess having that one extra game at the end of the season does add intrigue.

Shit, that's right. For some reason I thought they had Atlanta.

That said, the Jets were pretty scrappy against TB and the Bills have had a few shitty games this season(see Jaguar game).
