If there was DH in the NL he's a Met.
If there was a DH in the NL, Cohen forks over the extra $$$ and the Mets sign George Springer. JBJ wouldn't have even stood a chance.

I like Springer but his days as CF are limited and at that point he's a corner outfield bat in his 30s, those guys grow on trees. If there was a DH in the NL, Cohen forks over the extra $$$ and the Mets sign George Springer. JBJ wouldn't have even stood a chance.
Not that these guys are what they once were, but surprised to see none of them signed at all: Cole Hamels, Rick Porcello, Edwin Encarnacion, Yasiel Puig, Homer Bailey, Shane Greene, Maikel Franco.
Yes. He’s been pretty brutal the last couple years. But SOMEBODY can use him. Maybe even in a bullpen role?? Maybe mixing it up will change his luck. Stranger things have happened. Still only 32 years old.Porcello has been a piñata the last few years.....not sure he gets much interest until some team has injury problems......

Hell, he might be better than Garrett Richards this year from what I can see....

Surprised the Pirates haven't come calling. They don't even have enough warm capable bodies to pitch 9 innings in a game.My guess would be the bullpen, used in long relief....
Tommy John may be in Whitley's near future.Forrest Whitley hurt again, so the Odorizzi signing becomes even more important to the Asterisks.

It isn't likely that Porcello will contribute 174 quality innings to any team this season. He might come in as a guy to pitch 4 or 5 innings in a blowout, but I would not want him to pitch in a tight ballgame right away.2019 Porcello is still useful for a lot of teams. There's still value in having someone provide 174 innings, even if they're pedestrian.
Dude deserves some credit, he's been pretty damn durable. Made 27+ starts with 160+ innings every year for 11 seasons in a row and didn't miss any starts last year. He's put together a very fine career, though that CYA season looks so out of place. Lol
Ahhh...now we see why Puig is unsigned. That one didn’t make any sense to me:Not that these guys are what they once were, but surprised to see none of them signed at all: Cole Hamels, Rick Porcello, Edwin Encarnacion, Yasiel Puig, Homer Bailey, Shane Greene, Maikel Franco.
