I was crying that he didn't get the ball more on my Fantasy team. His goose egg on a game the Saints scored 49 points was the difference between me winning the championship, and finishing in 5th place :mad2:

I feel your pain - my friend - been there. I have a habit of drafting guys a year ahead of good production.

We signed Domata Peko and Zach Kerr.

So, the D line gets a little lift. These are prototypical Elway "value" picks. Big bodies and the Broncos are focused on stopping the run. Not the most talented players and Peko is definitely on the downside of his career but they could be good rotational guys.

Both are colorful, fiery guys who I think will fit right in with this defense's attitude

Peko hopefully has a few good seasons left, and who ever we draft at DT ( or whatever young guy - his cousin ? ) can be eased in

Curious thought following Saints moves so far and standoff in recent years, i wonder if Brees is available. 1yr left on his deal he is 38 and they really arent near contending at this point it seems. I mean if trevor is worth a 3rd in open market ... is a straight up swap a bad value trade? I mean it really does take two years to gel, but i dont think we need 50tds good ... just 28-30td good... and that would be a 1-2yr segway to lynch. If that is what broncos really want, vet mentor and all. Is a healthy 38yr pro bowler a better option at 13mil than a 37yr pro bowler thats had two bad back injuries?

No idea if theyd do it, but they might ... even if you trade trevor to nyjs and flip a pick to no.

Yeah, definitely not the most exciting players but worthwhile adds to the roster. I think one of the indicators of success this year will be how well the team stops the run. Get that run D into the top 10 and this team will be a contender again. And I've pointed this out several times: the Broncos were 18th against the run in YPC, so they weren't completely broken against the run. Unfortunately their offense was such that the enemy was able to keep the ball on the ground and avoid throwing against the strength of our defense.

Some improvement out of the offense would go a long way toward helping the run D as well. Does anyone here remember what it was like to be ahead 2 scores toward the end of a game? It's been a while! I don't think we're going to have that kind of offense this year once again, but if we have a unit that can stay on the field and trade some of those 3 and outs for even FGs we have a vastly better team this year!

I hope I'm wrong, but the two Dline signees - don't impress me - I'd take Sly Williams over both of them together. Gotsis better have it this year - that's the message I'm reading in this situation. His coach loved him - and now he has to produce. Makes you wonder why they let Kilgo get away.

Fluker signed a one year 3mm prove it deal with the Giants. That's pretty cheap. We should be more proactive when it comes to signing o lineman. Throw as much shit against the wall and see what sticks approach

5th rounder for a guy who has a decent skill set at a position of need is a no brainer. Still young and only costs 4.5 mm.

Only problem is we don'the have a 5th any more as we whipped that to New England for Derby.

Crazy how slow some free agents are signing. We will see how things shake out but I am hoping for a couple more signings.

Kayvon Webster is meeting with the Rams today. I expect him to sign there which was sorta the front runner IMO all along with Wade going there and their need for a CB.
