The Cowboys are done. They know it, we know it.

OK. So what do they have to play for? Knocking the Skins out the box would make what is no doubt a disappointing season for them easier to swallow. As they have nothing to lose, they have no reason to hold back. Making them a dangerous team for the Skins to be playing.

You been drinking that crazy sauce again Breeder? Didn't we have a talk about that?

My bad. I've lost count of the talks and the litany of peeps they've come from. And I smoke my crazy sauces, thank you very much.

And can we stop being scared of Danny boy calling on the bat phone to put in RG3 please. It would have been done already if it was even a possibility. It's not happening.

Sorry JB, but the reality is, as long as a player is on roster there is always a chance he gets on the field.

Not one with a 16 million dollar price tag floating over his head if he gets hurt somehow.

BUT...if he gets in a game, it will be because of mass injuries at the QB spot. Not because of Snyder

Actually that only comes into play if he cant pass a physical at the start of the league year.

Scratch that, not worth debating over at this point. As long as Kirk plays well, there is no worry. If things should change, I dont think that $16 million is the deterrent some want to believe.

I believe you're right....But with the way he gets hurt, passing a physical next year might be a challenge with any injury so why risk it.

Honestly there's still a part of me that wants to see what RG3 can do, but KC has earned the right to finish this season out.

On the regular, homey. Believe that.

And I agree with your take on fearing Griffin sees the field this year as being unnecessary. I don't think Griffin will see the field again, at least not as a Redskin and I'm OK with that.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. We should hold off on mentioning the P word until we are capable of stringing together two wins in a row I would think.

So when do we start the Where Will RG Go thread? Initially I thought Dallas but with Romo apparently good for another decade according to Jerrah maybe he signs somewhere else? As crazy as it sounds he will have a few teams interested, you just know several coaches are convinced they can make it work.

I really didn't want to get into the whole Griffin thing again because of the curious way fans of this team decided to view him. On the one hand he would not last running the read option, at least not long term considering the injuries already sustained doing it. Followed by the visceral vitriol and hatred when he seemed to have also come to that conclusion then decided that his long term interest (probably the team's too) was best served in becoming a pocket passer. A very curious case of don't do that vs you're not prepared to do the other ( or for some can't)

That said, I do not believe that this team is done with Griffin after this year. It would be a gigantic mistake to part ways with him. This year he has been a model teammate and I'll bet he is not sitting around twiddling his thumbs, but rather learning as much as possible about operating from the pocket, working on his mechanics and such, for his future here, but also just in case this team foolishly releases him. In a league where coaching and context matters he and his agent will then shop for the most perfect place for him to thrive.....right now there would be plenty of takers.

Let me get this straight. So you would pay him his $16m and keep him next year to continue his education from the bench for him just to be a FA the next year?

Didn't say that at all. I said that I believe that this team is not done with Griffin after this year. There are other options.

I hope your wrong. I haven't heard any stupid quotes, seen any pictures, tweets, read articles about Griffin in well over a month and guess what? Team came together, He's an afterthought and Not distraction whatsoever, hell they barely show him on the sideline anymore during games.

If these guys believe in Kirk the. Who am I to argue

Geezzzz you can't be seriously suggesting that not hearing stupid quotes, seeing any pictures, tweets, or reading articles about Griffin or his becoming an afterthought is what bought this team albeit 5-6 on the season, together are you? If that is the case maybe they SHOULD bring him back every year have him do those things in the preseason then stop just as the season begins, uniting them and spurring them on to more 5-6 runs at the same point every year!!

You'll just have to remain curious for a while, as I've said over and over again time is my ally and has been on many occasions on this site. The whole Griffin thing is just too much to have to deal with considering the mere mention of his name evokes curious points of view and emotions that forgo logic.

Let me help you a bit then......was it Griffin or the reporting of everything Griffin that became what you're calling distraction. Besides that, everyone else on the planet have outside issues but are expected to do their jobs. NFL players not capable of doing theirs because of this report or that one should be dismissed instantly. We want stories but are unhappy when the stories don't fit into our narrative. There are other threads right now on this site doing the same thing about reporters that posters don't like. Betcha those reporters aren't distracted by negative responses to their reports, in fact they probably welcome it.

Here's one more thing to consider.....If you can, try to remember how well organized this organization was before Griffin arrived, then ask yourself, how could one person come in and screw up such a well oiled, well respected, dynamic, competitive organization.:D

Forget the distractions from RG3 - I never really bought into any of that anyhow. I was a huge fan of his & will continue to be if he plays for the Skins (doubtful) as I am for Cousins. My issues with him were always on the field.

That being said I can see no way he is on this team next season. Your theory about him learning from the sidelines has a lot of holes. For starters - do you actually believe that RG3 will accept being a backup for two straight complete seasons? I cannot imagine anyone in his position accepting that role. Secondly - if Cousins progresses to the pt of being a solid, contending QB when exactly will RG3 get an opportunity short of Cousins incurring a major injury?

Lastly -as others have mentioned - why would the Redskins (or anyone) pay that kind of money for RG3 whether he is the starter or backup? I would also not just assume that some type of renegotiation can be done since both the Redskins and especially RG3 may take not be agreeable. In RG3's case would you really take a pay cut that involved not playing rt away & simply a promise when you had opportunities elsewhere?

If your guess (make no mistake that is all that it is) involves something else then please share. Otherwise - all of us can only assume that you have no idea on this one just like everyone else that doesn't spend a lot of time at Redskins Park.
