Not a major leaguer, but I just saw that Bryan Reynolds is having Hamate surgery (however that would be properly worded). This typically sidelines a player approximately 6 weeks.

Hope he recovers well and has a good season.

I don't think we ever got 2018 thread for this, but I noticed a guy today that has carved out a really nice role in Atlanta.

Charlie Culberson is batting .288/.333/.502 with 9 homers in 81 games. He's played every position except for catcher, CF and pitcher.

One of the only other guys from the 2007 draft that made it to the big leagues.

Forgot how many guys made it from that draft.
Clearly only 1 stud, but as you point out, Culberson has carved out a decent little career for himself.

Only 3 players who will have done anything for themselves in the majors (Bum, Culby and Otero)

Romo has 17 saves for the Rays. I'm happy for him.

Is he still getting paid by the dogs?

I'll say that ended up being the best of both worlds. He was able to join his childhood team and appease his family, but totally bombed for them. Now he's doing well with another team and having a great time. I'm okay with that
