Belichick knows which QB's to draft.
I believe he was trying to be funny.
Most teams would be happy to go 11-5.Only problem with Cassell in 2008 - he would help beat the teams the Patriots were expected to beat, but lost to playoff teams. Hence the 2008 Patiots went 11-5 and missed the playoffs, losing every conceivable tiebeaker.
In Garoppolo's case, he looks better running the Patriots' offense than Brady ever has.
I think it's time to admit Brady is just a system QB. It's scary to think what the Patriots could have done over the past 15 years had they had a QB like Garoppolo the whole time.
It's gotta be the system.
What kind of QB wouldn't have success tossing the ball to David Patten, David Givens, Bethen Johnson, Jabar Gaffney and Brandon Lafell?
You just named a handful of guys that all had better seasons in places other than New England

QUOTE="redseat, post: 8921313, member: 4125"]Weren't those guys who he mentioned basically the only "weapons" those said teams had?
So...the system doesn't make players better then?
