A QB controversy would have been nice to have week 5.

What a drag.

Only problem with Cassell in 2008 - he would help beat the teams the Patriots were expected to beat, but lost to playoff teams. Hence the 2008 Patiots went 11-5 and missed the playoffs, losing every conceivable tiebeaker.
Most teams would be happy to go 11-5.

He knows what the strengths of his QB are, uses them and is willing to change for the QB. Outside the top talent players (ala Gronkowski) he goes and fills the other skill positions with any retreads that have the exact skill set he wants for that one role they will play.

On the other hand, as an example, you have something like that d-bag offensive coordinator in Atlanta that is trying to force Matt Ryan to be something he isn't.

In Garoppolo's case, he looks better running the Patriots' offense than Brady ever has.

Seriously? Its not that the point of this thread is w/o merit, but when shit like this ^^^^ is posted. Its hard to see whoever said it as anything more than a hater. That's just outright ridiculous.

I think it's time to admit Brady is just a system QB. It's scary to think what the Patriots could have done over the past 15 years had they had a QB like Garoppolo the whole time.

Sure he's a system QB. Just like 99% of all NFL players are system players.

Ok, one quality start from Jimmy G and we are saying he is an amazing QB?

Yep, but this isn't a troll thread

Just curious...Do the same people that say Brady is just a system QB also say that the only reason Belichick wins is because he cheats and he has Brady?

This is obvious that knows football, and isn't a Brady Ballwasher

He is the most overrated athlete of my sports lifetime

This team doesn't miss a beat without the "Greatest of all time".....No, sorry, that doesn't happen

And they don't even need his boyfriend, that fragile Tight End that refuses to play without him

Now we get to hear how great Brissett is........."No, No, its not the system"

It's gotta be the system.

What kind of QB wouldn't have success tossing the ball to David Patten, David Givens, Bethen Johnson, Jabar Gaffney and Brandon Lafell?

You just named a handful of guys that all had better seasons in places other than New England

So...the system doesn't make players better then?

Dirt doesn't follow NE so he is just trolling. Brady has had 5 different OC's and its great to have Josh back, he is an important piece. Say in Indy they had Tom Moore as the same OC for 12 years, its key. Belichick is a defensive guy, always has, always will be. Charlie Weiss was a real good OC, and helped with the draft but just like Mc Daniels, Crennel, Mangini etc they are not good HC. Hopefully Obrien in Houston will break that mold

You are throwing out the names of #3 and #4 receivers to endorse how great Tom Brady is

Every QB on every roster is throwing to the likes of Jabar Gaffney as their 3rd or 4th options
