Not really sure why it is still being argued that it is the NE offensive system.

Garappollo is doing exactly the same stuff, or even better, than what Brady does. Cassell did the same few years back.

I say, if Bill gets Mark Sanchez today and puts him in on Thursday, we shall see the same. 3+ TDs by a Patriots QB.

Dirt doesn't follow NE so he is just trolling. Brady has had 5 different OC's and its great to have Josh back, he is an important piece. Say in Indy they had Tom Moore as the same OC for 12 years, its key. Belichick is a defensive guy, always has, always will be. Charlie Weiss was a real good OC, and helped with the draft but just like Mc Daniels, Crennel, Mangini etc they are not good HC. Hopefully Obrien in Houston will break that mold

Im really not trolling.....There is no smaller dropoff in the NFL from Tom Brady to his backup QB

That just wouldn't and hasn't been the case with other injured top tier QB's

That's a direct reflection of the system and coaching staff

The bigger bonus will be when the 3rd stringer goes out and dices Houston on Thursday

Agreed. Most teams who have a HOFer QB, or a top tier QB see a huge drop off between their starter and their back up.

For New England, it looks like we have to question the quality of their starter itself. Maybe, Cassell was a one off, but now even with Jimmy G. and Brisett? Not a coincidence.

No doubt that's happening. These guys are exposing Brady* for what he is.

LOL. The only thing that made sense in Brady's career was that he was a sixth round pick. Looks like it was deserved.

Denver hasn't missed a beat. Hassleback did good in Indy for a few games when Luck was out and then the bottom fell out. In 00 Pats went 5-11 with BB as HC and Bledsoe and started off 0-2 in 01. That same team went to the SB and won 3 out 0f 4. They miss the playoffs the year Brady is out with surgery yet have gone to 10 AFCG with Brady and 6 SB's. So if you are basing it of strictly this last 2 games, you could be right. Garropolo has be stellar and way better than I thought, but 2 games don't make a QB or prove your "system'. I think anybody can go to the Giants when you have the weapons they have on offense esp ODB and Cruz, yet they seem to either miss the playoffs or beat the Pats in the SB. I'll take consistency my friend. The" system" QB
has the 2nd most td's in a season , 2nd best td/int ratio in history, winninest % in NFL history, record for passed w/o int like 350, record for consecutive home wins and only 1 of 2 players to ever have 3 seasons of over 4800 yards and doesn't play in an environment controlled dome . Your right anybody can fill in, plug and play:L

I appreciate the trolling but this thread has really brought out some people who are clearly too biased to see things clearly.

Brady isn't the GOAT because there is no GOAT but he is the best pocket QB of all time. When it comes to extending plays, there are about 50 other QBs Id take.

Lol.

How sick of the Patriots winning are you sorry-assed clowns?

For a game and a half, Jimmy has looked better than Brady has as of late.

Too Biased?

Matt Cassell was one of the worst QB's we have seen in this league in 20 years, and he stepped in for Brady and went 11-5

Now some combination of Jimmy G and a 3rd stringer, has this team not only 2-0, not only pulling the upset of the season so far, but scoring with the best of them in the league.......

Sorry, biased or not, that puts Bradys' legitimacy as an all timer in question IMO

And no one cares more about his legacy than Tom Brady, so I wouldn't be shocked if these outcomes have him more unhappy than any of us will ever know

Go back and read the stats. THEY WEREN"T EVEN CLOSE

Also, 11-5 and 16-0 are very different records

I'll wait

200 points and 29 less td's on a weak schedule isn't close ?

He knows what the strengths of his QB are, uses them and is willing to change for the QB. Outside the top talent players (ala Gronkowski) he goes and fills the other skill positions with any retreads that have the exact skill set he wants for that one role they will play.

On the other hand, as an example, you have something like that d-bag offensive coordinator in Atlanta that is trying to force Matt Ryan to be something he isn't.

Matt Ryan has a 121 QB rating with over 700 passing yards so far, now sure who there D bag OC is but he might be the best OC in the league.

Anyone know how many games Tom Brady won the year he returned with Matt Cassells 11 win team?
