Well here's how I look at it, big picture-

lets assume the draft is over, you kept Nico, and drafted some fairly big stud at #7. The dude who took Lamb, most likely at pick 2 or 3, comes to you and says, ' hey I'll trade you Lamb and the dude I got in the 12th, for Nico, and whomever you got at #7, what would you do?

Obviously it depends on who was the pick at #7 and who the toss in that this dude took. But I can tell you, unless that name at #7 was HUGE, I'm at least entertaining the offer, or countering, I might not accept, but I'm sure I'd listen!

- thus, it's not at all black and white, cut and dry one way or the other
So basically you will be trading your 1st round pick and Nico for a top 3 pick. You're right, it's not all black and white but a lot to give up for Lamb. By this time, your roster is set so you know your strengths and weaknesses for your perspective. Maybe you think you are have more depth somewhere else and you want to trade for a bonafide stud?

well like i said, I don't know that I would, just that its not an absolute no, depending on the other names involved is all. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, and I think both ways can be winners.

You are making a very fair point, because the question was basically if Nico was the automatic answer and if even thinking about someone else (including Lamb and Cook) would be a result of me trying to overthink things. It seems like the fact that this is a discussion tells me that it would not be overthinking. I may still end up on Collins, but I do have to toss the ideas back and forth a little longer before making the decision.

As always guys, I appreciate all the input. Even if I don't take the advice, I appreciate different ways to look at things that I may not have considered.

Easy no for me.

Again, because you are getting a top 10 player with that first pick.

That’s pretty harsh. I agree that Collins is the way to go. But lamb is the safest keep.

Him being the 7th pick and it being likely that other first rounders will be kept the worst case is that he is really pick 19. Best case he is pick 7. Odds are that the pick will retain first round value but lamb is a top 5 pick. So lamb is still value. And it is nice to have an elite player

It isn’t really pick 19

If everyone kept a 1st round player, then nobody would have a first round pick.

Most of the top picks this year were top picks last year also.

Absolutely worst case would be like 13 or 14

And that is super unlikely.

Nah. I said worst case. Which means current first round value. They were not necessarily taken first round last year.

Yes it was more hypothetical at 19. But if I remember correctly Hill and chase were not first rounders last year. I’m sure there are others. Especially with the big draft flip where now the first round is mostly WRs.

Taylor and bijon too. Probably even breece.

Chase, Jefferson CMAC and Lamb were all first rounders.

Hill was too.

2 years ago he wasn’t.

Lamb was going early 2nd in a lot of leagues last summer, I got Hill and Lamb rd1 and rd2 in a best ball draft last year, absolutely dominated the league

Ok, but we do know that Lamb was Femur’s first round pick last year in this league.

He may have been outside the first in some places, I will give you that

Autodraft sniped me on Mixon. I panicked and took Mark Andrews, then Kamara

Solid draft all around. No real weaknesses. That is really the best strategy. Some question marks in there but those guys also have high ceilings imo
