Well your ignoring the posts from us that consider a slow draft as a form of torture. I'd actual hand out cash to avoid one.

i do agree it is torture, but really it is most realistic... We should definitely try first to make a time work, but again anyone who misses the draft is more likely to leave this league... and that really is not what we want in year one...

Personal, I feel we can work out a time for a on line draft. Some of us are willing to take a personal day if need be. Let's find out if that is possible, before talking about water boarding.

All right guys I have read a lot of your posts on the draft date and I feel very strongly if we are gonna do this draft before the preseason then we should start it right away and just slow draft it since we have plenty of time. I think a slow draft would work and even if it takes all of JUNE and JULY so be it, it will kill time for us as well. It would help us get through these last 2 months which if your like me are torture and they seem to go on forever while feeling the long awaited anticipation of the fall season to arrive and for that first Thursday night game to start.

Lets start it this week end. It will kill time and keep us up on our game just in time for all our other drafts.

I am asking for this but I am not opposed to begging if it gets everyone on board.

I find it incredibly difficult to believe we can't pick a date. I mean seriously, one night out of two months should be very doable. We've already had people saying they can get off work....very doable.

And no foot, my summers are not spent counting down the hours to football. II LOVE baseball. I love slow drafts too, but I really miss real drafts. Having to have an in-time strategy and ad-lib as need be is a factor in itself.

I'm retired so unless my wife 'plans' something I can make time, be it slow (my actual preference), be it pick a day. I will add one thing - - somehow we managed to get twelve owners on board for an MBBRL online draft in the past - another two shouldn't make it impossible. Not promoting, just stating both are doable. ...

i am fine looking for a date first... of course a normal on-line draft is ideal... I am just nervous about auto draft... really looking for anyway to prevent this from happening... But if we can all agree about a time that works for all then that would be perfect...

I say set a simulated draft day very soon in fantax or whatever it's called.
Then we all make sure we can sign in
Then run the randomizer snake draft
then we know the order and start choosing where in that order we want to draft

Then we can set our draft date whether it's live or slow.

Didn't chime in much yesterday as Wednesday's are a full day of work then my beach volleyball league and beers. Had very little time yesterday.

Anywho...I am definitely going to set up a "dummy" league once we get the scoring all figured out. The reason I want all the scoring hashed out is if the setup for the "dummy" league actually works, then we'll just co to ur using that one.

No Rule 5
Random draw for draft order, then choose your own spot(first year only)
Rolling waiver order
Standard scoring
6pt passing TDs, -2 INTs
1pt for every 25 passing yards
No bonuses
Decimal scoring
DST scoring still up in the air

I believe once this is settled, I can create the league and figure out what type of draft will be possible.

Everything look correct so far? Anything I'm leaving out with scoring?
