I would think there would be a little study time first.

In my leagues, we do it on draft night. Actually, it's a slow draft to start, and #1 selects a player, or a draft spot. #2 then selects a player or a draft spot, and so on... obviously that wouldn't work in this league.

i actually think that way would work best for this... but then before we do draft order we would need to decide if we are doing a slow draft or an on-line normal draft..

I vote slow draft all the way. Like fuzzy said, maybe we do the first 2 rounds at a specific date and time and in a 2 or 3 hour span we do the first two rounds or so and then slow it down with a max 12 hour span to pick. If your 12 hours are up the next guy picks and you can pick when ever you want after that point.

No, if we do a slow draft there can not be any skipping... i know that may suck that someone may take forever, but we can't start this league off with owners not having their optimum team(even if its their fault)

Please no slow draft. .not 14 teams, and 18 rounds, just no

unfortunately i agree with micro that this league has to be slow drafted... skips and unintentional autodraft sort of ruins the league for an owner, and it will be impossible to schedule a date that will work for 14 total strangers living in different time zones...

We have little issue doing it for 12, 14 is in no way impossible. .challenging, not impossible

I don't believe I said it HAS to be slow drafted. Did I? I think I had mentioned it as an option, but if we did, it would have to be on here bc Fantrax doesn't allow it.

I am on board for a slow draft. Yes it might take some time but there would be little pressure to finish. Although a soft end date would be nice.

I'm pretty sure Fuzzy mentioned starting with a slow draft for x number of rounds and see how it goes. .... if we get too bogged down then we can always try and set a date to finish it off. .... I like that and personally am ready to get this rolling !!! I think DST scoring was pretty much the last thing before establishing draft positions and starting the selection process. .....

This and the draft order.

I think starting with a slow draft and seeing how it goes it the best way to go. Gives us an easy way to balance all of our crazy individual schedules.

I would like to do a slow draft.. but we would need to start by the Beginning of July. Also as fuzzy stated it would be nice if we could all agree to be here for the first two hours or so to bang out the 1st few rounds. But if we decide to do a regular draft obviously I have no issue with that as well

Maybe a poll with each day of the week as a choice to the question, IF there was a draft, which day would MOST LIKELY be best for you?

...followed by a time of day poll?

If anything, we could use it as a slow draft reference for gathering and banging out a few rounds when we deem necessary.

As long as Micro Capone says he is not fixing the outcome, polls are good.

I say set a simulated draft day very soon in fantax or whatever it's called.
Then we all make sure we can sign in
Then run the randomizer snake draft
then we know the order and start choosing where in that order we want to draft

Then we can set our draft date whether it's live or slow.

we could easily set ouR draft order some time this week

I really don't want b to do the next two months constantly checking my phone while n I'm at work, on vacation, during the weekends, whenever, hoping the the guy in front of me FINALLY made his pick. .why on earth do you guys want a slow draft?? I get the suicides, I can't for the life of me understand why you'd want to do a July draft for the startup dynasty that will take 2 months to finish. ..boggles my mind

I'm with Treff here. I think we can find a day in the next eight weeks for a real draft. Besides, I kind of miss being on the actual clock anx having to make sudden moves.
