Durant is a cool dude but how dumb does he feel?

He didn't lie. Only a fool would take D-Wade over Harden at this stage of their careers

If we are talking the rest of their careers yes but if we are talking just this year...

With Wade's D I probably take Wade.

Either way, it is the changing of the guard, the young class led by KD is knocking on the door and soon LBJ, Wade and Melo's class will be old.

Wade plays an overall better game. More efficient scoring when healthy, can still scoring with the best of them, and plays a thing called defense. He wants to win championships. Harden is a great player, but still isn't the player Wade is. This isn't comparing players for a whole season, this is who you want in the big games when you need them most to step up. That is Wade by far.

In the playoffs, it wont be Westbrook's first game back. So this game was not normal like you want it to be.

True, but you have to expect that erratic play at least a couple games in a series. So it isn't that far-fetched.

And you have to expect the Heat not to play this good every game. We can go on and on.

The Heat didn't play that good....Lebron had 8 turnovers and the role players couldn't buy a shot. Miami would've won by 30 or more if those guys would hit their shots

You guys forgetting how badly Harden choked in the Finals? Yeah, I'd still take a healthy Wade.

Harden numbers look better because he's the top option which means the ball in his hands more which leads to more shots but Wade is the better and more efficient player.

Harden also vanished for a large part of those finals in 2012. Wade doesnt do that.

People like to count Miami and Wade out. That's fine. Ive been watching this guy for a decade now. I have no doubts Wade will be Wade come playoff time this year. I can count on one hand the number of players in NBA history I would take as #1 pick if I had to win just one game. Come June, Miami will be hoisting another trophy. All the Haters will have stopped bandwagon whatever rival team they jumped on this season.

Miami is a dynasty.

Well for the record, Harden is leading Wade in defensive win shares 1.6 to 1.4% and leading in defensive rating 107-105, but for the sake of argument I'll give the edge to Wade as numbers are not the be all to end all. As for offense, I'll definitely take Harden. Better passer, better scorer, better athletically, and definitely a more efficient shooter. Also believe it or not, I'll narrowly take Harden in the CLUTCH as well. He doesn't have the body of work that Wade has, but Harden has been a closer since he was in OKC. Bottom line, if I had an expansion team for one year only and you gave me the choice of those 2 to lead it, I'd take Harden without hesitation

Wade is avg 7.7 fg's made on 13 shots compared to Harden 7.4 fg's made per game on 16 shots. If Wade avg 38 MPG as Harden does, I'm almost certain he would avg close to 25 PPG. In addition to this he shoots 55% from the field compared to just 45% for Harden

BTW anyone with a mind wouldn't take much out of the OKC win in Miami because as I said back then, the chances of a team hitting 16 3's consistently in a best of 7 series is basically impossible. This game was more like a game you will see in the playoffs because nothing out of the ordinary happened. The big 3 played well, Miami force OKC into turnovers, and defending Durant and the 3 ball well
Miami took advantage of the fact that OKC did not play their best backcourt.

Harden really is more an SF than a PG but understands the game well, which is very nearly Priority 1 for all positions.

I'm glad my Thunder kept Ibaka but wish they'd found a way to keep "The Beard" as well.

Done is done, however.

1. Not a heat fan

2. This again, proves my point. Durant goes out and kills it without Russell. Beats the Heat badly. Rattles off a bunch of wins.

Westbrook comes back and the comedy show immediately starts.

You do remember the Thunder were 21-4 with the best record in the league when Westbrook went out don't you? Anyone that thought the Thunder would just pick back off where they left off after he was out that long was fooling themselves.

Yeah but Russ choked on the big stage. Wade does not.
