Worth a shot right?

Just saying that doesn't make the Bob negotiations sound very good. You don't call Kipper to be the back-up, right?

I have trouble seeing Bob go to the KHL though. The guy flew in from Russia to receive the Vezina.

he's gonna get alot of pressure to be the guy who leaves the NHL for the KHL (from the KHL)

and if they are guaranteeing him the starting job for Sochi if he goes home, all bets are off

Talk about tampering. That's miserable to do to a guy. And if he's the guy we saw last year, he's starting either way. Of course the NHL may not let that happen, but the NHL would crazy to not let it happen. THEN we'd see some Rooskies leave.

Thats the way they roll in Russia ... they promise the starting goalie spot in advance to guys for some reason (and they dont change no matter how poorly they might be playing ie Nabokov in 2010) ... its the reason why Varlamov went to the worlds this year and Bobrovsky went home

its those damn eastern promises

:)

Cam Davie ‏@tinfoiltuque Protected account 1m If someone is willing to pay Bryzgalov $1.6m/yr for 14 years NOT to play, then someone is willing to take Luongo's contract.

@RealKyper 3m #BlueJackets asking 4 permission speak to #Flames Kiprusoff in hopes of talking him out of retire'mt. Doesn't app' he will change his mind

Uhhhh....

Is this guy as reliable as the "Jack Johnson will definitely be playing in Pittsburgh" guy?

Worth a shot right?

No. Kypreos is on crack. *IF* they reached out to Kipper, it was just to scare Bob and the agent. If the Jackets were really in the market for a goalie, there are about 43 better options to pursue. Cheaper, non mentally fragile options who did not just have the scare of their life last year.

he's gonna get alot of pressure to be the guy who leaves the NHL for the KHL (from the KHL)

It would be a terrible move and as dumb as his agent is for throwing it out there as "leverage", Bob really likes it here. He likes the staff, he likes the team, he likes the city and fans and he was extremely excited to win the Vezina. 10 mil is a lot of money, but who has gone to the KHL and loved it?

"I will pay you ten mil to live in a shit hole, or you can make 5-6 mil to live in a place with running water. Your move."

And don't listen to that Sochi shit. He is first in line for that start no matter what. He has to be distrusting of the powers that be over there because remember he left the Worlds because they gave Bryz the start.

If he picks KHL, he will be a legendary moron whose name will be ridiculed for centuries.

Send the #6 pick to us and we'll stay out of the Iginla sweepstakes.

So sports radio is talking that Claude may be on his way out the door...again.

I don't understand how he did not call a timeout after the tying goal and get the guys focused on the final minute. Anyways I don't know if that should cost him his job.

Changes for the Bruins.

Tuuka is gonna get a big raise. I am thinking 5-6 mill per and around 5 or 6 years.

Horton I think is gone. This is probably his big contract time and he will probably go to the highest bidder. Boston wont be the highest bidder.

Ference. Was a great soldier on defense for us but he has lost at least a step and probably will not get a offer.

Bergeron. Still under contract next year but I would suspect that the Bruins would want to lock him up early and long term.

Peverely 2 year's left I am betting they do the buyout on him and send him packing

Chris Kelly signed to 2016. Buyout ASAP.

Really? As an outsider I thought Peverley was solid. I thought Kelly was excellent on a line with Paille and Seguin.

Were these guys THAT bad during the season?

Also I wouldn't mind seeing Horton in a Sens uni next year. They have the cap space and he'd look good lining up with Spezza.

Based on the Finals, Brad Stonehands should be sent packing.

If Chris Kelley hits the open market smart GMs everywhere will line up. Probably not Jarmo as he already has the guy who made Kelley expendable in Ottawa (Foligno). Kelley's a solid player who you always know what you're getting. Never takes a shift off. Ever.

I expect a lot of interest in Horton as well.

Does anybody have any or heard any outside the box trade scenarios that are actually plausible?

Rumor is the Jackets are sniffing around a possible draft day deal for Thomas Vanek.

Apparently the Sens are looking to acquire high-priced guys who might become victims of the dropping cap or even of internal budgetary restraints.
