Great post. Let’s cut it into bite sized nuggets…

AAA - Batters (minimum 25 PAs)
Isan Diaz - .231/.342/.554 (76 PAs)
David Villar - .296/.444/.761 (90 PAs)
Austin Dean - .266/.309/.594 (68 PAs)
Kevin Padlo - .254/.302/.593 (63 PAs)
AAA - Pitchers (minimum 3 IPs - because the performances were pretty bad all around, and I wanted at least 3 guys to list here)
Enmanuel de Jesus - 6 starts, 27.1 IP, 2.30 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 12.2 K/9
Mauricio Llovera - 4 relief appearances, 3.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 16.2 K/9
Yunior Marte - 6 relief appearances, 5.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, 10.1 K/9

Villar has a lot of helium right now. It is my understanding that they are trying him at 2B to see if they can get him into SF asap.

I would be interested in seeing if Dean could do anything in SF, but I am not certain he is doing enough just yet to put him back on the 40.

AA - Batters (minimum 25 PAs)
Rob Emery - .273/.365/.523 (52 PAs)
Brandon Martorano - .275/.372/.575 (94 PAs)
Shane Matheny - .329/.420/.629 (81 PAs) (I hope he's not taking performance enhancing drugs because this performance is out of nowhere!)
Frankie Tostado - .323/.370/.566 (108 PAs) (someone needs a promotion to AAA!)
Franklin Labour - .194/.350/.613 (40 PAs)
AA - Pitchers (minimum 5 IPs)
RJ Dabovich - 8 relief appearances, 10.1 IP, 3.48 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 13.1 K/9
Trenton Toplikar - 6 relief appearances, 7.2, IP, 2.35 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 10.6 K/9
Kyle Harrison - 1 start, 5.2 IP, 3.18 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 14.3 K/9

Nice to see Tostado finally get cooking on his career.

Gotta keep Harrison in AA for at least a month or so, but he probably has the most helium of anyone in the org. He is starting to get a lot of Bum comparisons.

High A - Batters (minimum 25 PAs)
Carter Aldrete - .257/.333/.586 (81 PAs)
Patrick Bailey - .265/.351/.510 (57 PAs)
Marco Luciano - .270/.357/.473 (84 PAs)
Casey Schmitt - .313/.413/.537 (80 PAs)
High A - Pitchers (minimum 5 IPs)
Nick Avila - 8 relief appearances, 7.1 IP, 2.45 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 8.6 K/9
Mason Black - 1 start, 6 IP, 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 15 K/9
Kyle Harrison - 3 starts, 14 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 17.4 K/9 (!)
Clay Helvey - 6 relief appearances, 9 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP (!), 16 K/9
Ryan Murphy - 3 starts, 11 IP, 3.27, 1.18 WHIP, 14.7 K/9
Brett Standlee - 5 relief appearances, 9.2 IP, 1.86 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 11.2 K/9
Nick Swiney - 3 starts, 13 IP, 2.77 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, 12.5 K/9
Cole Waites - 5 relief appearances, 4.2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.64 WHIP, 15.4 K/9

Gotta figure Schmidt right now is penciled in as the heir apparent to Longo. With Villar and Luciano also putting eyes on that spot, though, there may be a bit of a logjam. Good problems!

VERY nice to see Bailey find himself a bit. He is still at least a year away from even cuppo talk, but this is nice to see.

Low A - Batters (minimum 25 PAs)
Aeverson Arteaga - .304/.349/.520 (109 PAs)
Victor Bericoto - .350/.429/.525 (91 PAs)
Vaun Brown - .448/.538/.885 (!) (104 PAs) (he's turning 24 this month, move him up to Eugene!)
Najee Gaskins - .300/.446/.400 (67 PAs) (also a 24 year old OF who needs a higher level of competition)
Grant McCray - .327/.410/.607 (122 PAs)
Alexander Suarez - .244/.308/.533 (52 PAs) (just promote the entire outfield to Eugene! None of the outfielders there are producing)
Low A - Pitchers (minimum 5 IPs)
Mason Black - 4 starts, 19.2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, 10.1 K/9
Jose Cruz - 6 relief appearances, 6 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP, 21 K/9 (!)
Evan Gates - 6 relief appearances, 7.2 IP, 1.17 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, 12.9 K/9 (not sure why he was demoted in April. Pitched well in Eugene too)
Tyler Myrick - 6 relief appearances, 5.2 IP, 3.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 6.4 K/9
Mat Olsen - 4 relief appearances, 7.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.41 WHIP, 13.5 K/9
Julio Rodriguez - 6 relief appearances, 6.2 IP, 2.70 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 18.9 K/9 (!)
Eric Silva - 5 starts, 22 IP, 3.27 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 10.6 K/9

Holy shit! Who is that guy? I don’t think I have ever heard of him. He has 12 bombs (on the season) to go along with those other gaudy numbers.

lots of nice numbers getting put together here. Some level correction appears in order.

Vaun Brown was the highest position player the Giants picked last year (10th round). Didn't expect him to hit like this but it is low A ball.

Will Wilson got promoted to Sacramento a couple of days ago. He was doing well with Richmond (3rd in OPS on the team, with an .858) but I do wonder if the promotion had more to do with middle infield status. After all the RiverCats only had 6 players on their roster who've played at either 2nd or short and that is absolutely unacceptable!

Meanwhile, Ricardo Genoves got demoted to Richmond. His OPS at Sac was not pretty (.699) and it makes room for journeymen catcher Jhonny Pereda (.621) and Astro castoff Michael Papierski (.565) to really shine! Oh, Joey Bart, you say? No, he's in Arizona not playing in any actual games and could continue doing so for another week.

I saw that Luciano was on the IL earlier this week. Now I know why:

Luciano out with low back strain (June 15)
Marco Luciano, the Giants' top prospect, was placed on the injured list with a low back strain and is rehabbing in Arizona, the club announced Wednesday. The 20-year-old shortstop will not participate in any baseball activities for at least the next two weeks. Luciano had enjoyed a hot start at High-A Eugene this year, batting .288 with an .867 OPS and eight home runs over 40 games. -- Maria Guardado

From what I read, the Wilson promotion was mostly about getting Genoves steady work at AA since Bart is getting all the work at AAA.

To date, Bart has played in 1 AAA game. When he was sent down, he was sent to Arizona for drills and practice and to to focus on his swing and pitch selection.

It looks like he came off the development list once Papierski was dfa'd. For the first time this season, the RiverCats are only carrying two catchers (although I expect Papierski will clear waivers and be back in Sacramento soon).

And the move to AA for Genoves seems a bit dumb. The catchers there are both hitting well (Emery and Martorano), which is a huge deal because its Richmond.

right. But now he's in Sacto and they sent Genoves down. Which opened up the spot for Wilson.

A couple of moves in the farm to note.

The first is in the "why" category. Rob Emery, owner of a .815 OPS in Richmond, got sent down to Eugene. Folks, any player with an OPS .800 or better in Richmond should be getting promoted, not demoted. Especially when said player is a catcher. Why not jettison Pereda and make him Bart's backup? Now, he is one of 5(!) catchers on Eugene's roster (see below).

The second is in the "yes!" category. Vaun Brown, after burning through Cal League pitching, got promoted to Eugene. He only posted a 1.063 OPS in 228 ABs before the promotion. Hope he continues the hot season.

Per Giants, infielder Will Wilson, who was recently promoted to AAA, had surgery today to repair a hamate fracture. He’ll be out 5-6 weeks.

RJ Dabovich, our 4th rounder in the 2020 draft, was recently promoted to Sacto.

Dont be surprised to see him get his cuppo this season.
Yup, saw that. Back when rosters expanded by more than 2 players in September, I would think he's got a good shot to back the big league roster. However, FZ has his favorite guys he keeps going to in AAA. I guess Dabovich can force it if he pitches well. Not many guys have so far in AAA this year.

They have been playing him a lot at 2B the last couple weeks. He has never played there previously. I expect he will get a cuppo within the next 6 weeks or so.

Continuing on with outstanding performances in June with the Richmond squad:
Batters (minimum 25 PAs)
Robert Emery - .286/.444/.643 (36 PAs) Gets rewarded with a demotion to Eugene
Ricardo Genoves - .333/.375/.500 (32 PAs)
Michael Gigliotti - .273/.415/.530 (82 PAs)
Shane Matheny - .296/.457/.481 (70 PAs) Still cannot figure out how he suddenly became a good hitter, and at Richmond no less!
Diego Rincones - .371/.414/.677 (70 PAs) Here is an idea, how about promoting Rincones to AAA instead of constantly dumpster diving for outfielders
Will Wilson - .226/.314/.548 (35 PAs)

Pitchers (minimum 5 IPs)
Bryan Brickhouse - 5 starts, 28 IP, 2.25 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 9 K/9
