I have simply ask you a question with regards to a topic of great interest to me on which you have offered an opinion that is different than what I believe the team is capable of doing and I've asked you how and why you believe differently.

I have seen what Mayhew said, that isn't anything I have ever argued. I acknowledge that he has said that tagging Suh is an option. He certainly would not have said anything differently since it would have destroyed the Lions from a negotiating perspective.

Are you saying that your statements to the effect that we should tag Suh and that there will be cap room to do so is simply based on Mayhew's comments?

Ya. Cap goes up, guys get cut, contracts get restructured etc...tagging him is an option if the team wants to tag him.

Ok. But from what I see if you back out Suh's voidable year in 2015 that currently the Lions already have $119m committed in 2015 for players under contract. If the tag option on Suh is $36.6m that would take us to $155.5m. That's well in excess of even the very high end of the projected cap.

Who are we going to cut to free up that much cap space?
