Does anyone else think Andrew Luck will be a bust?

So was Troy Smith. The GOAT college QB. lmao

You forgot that fuckface Roethlisberger, fuckface. He's at his best when plays break down. It's ok though, I know you've only been watching the NFL for a year now.

He's not going to be Peyton Manning straight out-of-the-box. And Peyton Manning was what made the Colts tick. Last year was case in point.

Peyton Manning wasn't Peyton Manning right out of the box.

The Mannings had the benefit of growing up watching game film with their daddy. They were mentally prepared for the NFL

i thought cam newton was going to be an epic failure...
soooo im not ready to make any more bust predictions on #1 draft picks just yet

So did I.
But no one is ever 100% right. For me personally, last year was a perfect example. I had a major Fail on Newton (and Aldon Smith, who I thought was gonna be very bad) but my mock for the Bucs was pretty awesome. I sure wished they had draft these guys, especially Sherman, Murry and Rolle.
1. Adrian Clayborn - Starter at LE for Bucs.
2. Stefen Wisniewski -Starter at LG for the Raiders,
3. DeMarco Murray - Starter at RB for the Cowboys.
4. Luke Stocker - Back Up at TE for Bucs.
5. Richard Sherman - Starting CB for the Seahawks
6. Brian Rolle - Starting LOLB for Eagles
7. Zach Hurd - Blah...

His situation definitely isn't great. No receivers. The offensive line is aging. There is no way that they are going to start anyone else and give him time to breathe.

I'm just terrified that RGIII will be a bust.

I see RGIII having a greater possibility of being a bust than Luck. Living near Indy though I know people are going to have unreal expectations for Luck and just expect him to not be a significant drop-off from Manning, which is obviously way too much to ask.

I have been saying since Luck and Wilson came into the league that those teams better fix their OL issues because the body can only take so many hits before it starts wearing down. I know both have been very durable up to this point but Luck being on the injured report and I have seen Wilson a couple of times this year get up slowly. We have already seen something like 1/4th of the league have to start somebody other than who was expected to be the opening day starter. OL's are getting this QB's killed this year.

1st) Wow @HammerDown . This thread is form way way WAY back. Nice find

2) Let's bring in our resident Colts homer for his intelligence. oh @Manning2Luck_uJelly

3) It's hard to say if he is a bust. Honestly that Tweet Hammer pulled out speaks but I agree with Dulmer. OL are killing QBs but that being said it's hard to fix because.....

Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan have discussed this a few times on their NFL satellite radio show (movin'the chains). They weren't specifically talking about Seattle, they were saying in general the college programs are not producing any quality O-line because of the types of offenses they are now a days in college. They claim not a single program is really turning out NFL ready O-linemen. As a result you are seeing teams trying to turn D-linemen into O-linemen.

PS that was pulled from this:

It's astonishing to me that the Colts can have anything but the most dominant OL in the NFL.

The Colts organization is run by idiots. You give Luck time, he will make average WRs into pro bowlers.
