Seattle Seahawks: Kyle Murphy, OT, Stanford

Seattle's offensive line is an abomination. The most glaring weakness is at right tackle, where, in St. Louis, Garry Gilliam may have had the worst performances from an offensive lineman I've ever seen. I'd call him a turnstile, but that would be offensive to turnstiles.

Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan have discussed this a few times on their NFL satellite radio show (movin'the chains). They weren't specifically talking about Seattle, they were saying in general the college programs are not producing any quality O-line because of the types of offenses they are now a days in college. They claim not a single program is really turning out NFL ready O-linemen. As a result you are seeing teams trying to turn D-linemen into O-linemen. I don't watch college football so I have no comment on this, but that is what they claim.

Not only not producing good OL, but not producing a lot of NFL ready QBs.

This is especially true with interior linemen. And a lot of NFL tackles now are converted tight ends.

Quit picking on our OL... They've been the cornerstone of our team for the past several seasons... Just ask Phil Simms...

He was on B&S yesterday and also said, "You can't get to 12-4 in this league with just an average OL." I'm sure it was tough for Brock to hold his tongue on that one.

Simms doesn't know any better, he does 1 or maybe 2 Seahawks games a year. It doesn't excuse him for not doing his homework but if someone on Fox said that then I would be more concerned with their prep since they do the NFC games.

The Seahawks have the worst starting C and RT in the NFL and it's not even close.

LG and RG also fall within the bottom 10.

This may be the worst offensive line the Seahawks have thrown out there in over 15 years.
