Hill needs to step up and stay healthy, he has shown he can be a stud. I think we draft a DT in the 1st or 2nd anyways. This is hills prove it year and may not be on the team after that.

Eh I'm not opposed to the Rubin signing although I would've like to see something sub-$10M (instead of $12M). All depends on the guaranteed and structure though so details need to arrive before I can grade. Sounds like 3 year/$12M for now.

That said, Mebane has clearly lost a step and I don't see Seattle bringing him back so retaining one of our interior DTs who helps elevate the run D to #1 was huge.

Our problem didn't really appear to be defense in a lot of games... our offense was giving up huge sacks early on, etc. and not able to sustain any drives. Cary Williams also didn't help our cause early in the season so hopefully we address that.
