My point was he has been one of our best hitters, and we're not scoring. You want to tell me he's not great at hitting RH thats fine, but what Wash has been doing isn't working.

Baker can hit the ball out of the park. He's a better hitter than Gentry. When I made the comment I wasn't talking about instead of Gentry. Beltre has no business being out there.

Beltre is a plus defender who's shown some ability to hit and we're facing a rhp. Beltre has plenty of business out there. Baker has hit one home run off a righty this year.

Even my 8 year old noticed it. He saw Baker whiff at a belt high fast ball from a RHP over the meat of the plate and asked me why it was not over the fence I trained him well

He doesn't get many AB's against righties. I would rather have Baker out there than Beltre any day. RH or LF on the mound.

Wow. Baker is simply awful against rhp, isn't even an average defender, and you would rather have him on the field against a rhp over the best defensive OF in our system who has shown an ability to hit and get on base, and also has speed on the bases?

Fine, but gentry is an elite defender and a real threat with his speed if he gets on base. Thus, if I have to choose against a rhp I understand picking gentry.

I know the game of baseball. Beltre is simply overmatched at the plate. Yes he has speed, but like I said, I have more faith in Baker than Beltre, any day

don't contradict Romeo or have a different opinion otherwise he questions your baseball knowledge. My original comment had nothing to do with Gentry though. I said I was fine with Leonys getting the day off, and later said I would rather have Baker out there that Engel any day
