QB Jackson has requested trade from Ravens

From the article:

Last September, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen that Jackson turned down an offer from Baltimore that included $133 million guaranteed at signing, $175 million guaranteed for injury and $200 million in total guarantees if he's on the roster on the fifth day of the 2026 league year.

The $200 million would rank second among all quarterbacks to Deshaun Watson (five years, $230 million guaranteed) and would surpass deals signed by Kyler Murray ($103.3 million guaranteed at signing) and Russell Wilson ($124 million guaranteed at signing) last year. Schefter and Mortensen reported in September that Jackson wants a fully guaranteed deal similar to Watson's.

Sounds like Lamar is going to be stuck in Baltimore under the franchise tag. Hope he doesn't go insane and just refuse to play because if he is truly trying to do what is best for his family, then making nothing and still being stuck under the franchise tag is the worst possible avenue.

The colts should sign him…after the draft
That would require a trade. So far the Ravens haven't shown any willingness to trade Jackson. It could happen, but I wouldn't bet on it happening in 2023.

They can sign him to an offer sheet…

If lamar wants a trade all he has to do is signal he's willing to be reasonable.

Again

If he had an agent this would make it a lot easier.

we are all going to look back at Cleveland for ruining the NFL with that contract. Cam Newton was out of the NFL at what, 30? He is 32 now. That is the prototype, so Lamar, Hurts, Fields, if Lance wins the job in San Fran or whoever is next in line is going to feel screwed. All Baltimore should offer is a 3 year fully guaranteed deal, the contract can be no longer than the amount they are willing to guarantee.

Baltimore did the right thing, let someone else write a contract this goof will sign, I would even offer a third round pick to the team that could do it.

Yeah that dumbass Haslam really created a mess for the rest of the league. And he couldn't have picked a worse QB to give that absurd contract. A scumbag with some serious issues.

He's missed a bunch of games in his career already, 10 in the last two seasons. He's only older and more broken now. So expect him to miss more, and get less effective. He's not a pocket passer, so he can't fall back on that.

He's fucking nuts if he thinks any team is going to pay him what he thinks he's worth.
He should let Le'Veon Bell represent him!

Offer sheets must be signed and returned to the original team several days before the upcoming Draft. The original team must be given 5 days to decide whether to match the offer or take the picks.

To me. It's Simple..................

Who holds all the cards?

Lamar? No because the Ravens can hold him for a year then ship him or tag him.

Other teams? No because See Lamar?

Whose else is involved?

What a mess this has turned into with no good resolution. Who in the league will give up what it will take to trade for a QB at this level and give in to his contract demands as well? I doubt any team. Yes Baltimore has the leverage but do they really want a disgruntled QB back, a QB who did not travel with the team for a playoff game, a QB who many believe could have played at the end of last season?

And again for the hundredth time. Because he doesn't have an agent the situation is even worse.

Colts maybe the only team that could go after Lamar? I think there is a way to do it where they dont have to give up this year's pick in the 2 1sts so the Colts could take a blue chip player this year and go Lamar and maybe just try to be set with that.

Does Lamar need an agent to pull this off? Not sure.
