Meanwhile this guy is still waiting on the phone for an head coaching job offer, he is not getting off the phone until he gets an offer.

Well, at least this way, his wife can tell him it is because his phone has been off the hook all offseason. That should soften it for his ego. "Damnit! I knew I should have sprung for a second phone line."

Yeah I could see that. A guy that is starting to get that recognition at the college level of NFL teams wanting him every year is David Shaw of Stanford. I've heard stories of teams doing just about everything possible to get him to come back to the pro ranks but he just loves his job with Stanford.

I think its pretty obvious that a college HC job (especially at a top power 5 conference school) is a far better (and healthier) gig.

Oh it really is. Most of them make I would say at or more at the college level than they could at the NFL level. They also have a lot more job security in my opinion. I don't blame Shaw for not wanting to leave the situation he is in.

Shaw makes NFL HC money now (4.1 million a year).

Seems nuts not to see Belichick's name at the top of that list. And how is Sean Payton making that much money?

What is nuts is Jeffrey Fisher getting paid that much, earned little of it.

That list a couple years old, but it gives a snap shot at NFL HC money. Believe it or not, Harbaugh makes more than all of them (9 million a year). Another reason he isn't going anywhere. I'd imagine Shaw got his raise to 4.1 in part to all the interest in him.

Yeah why come back to a much more stressful environment that will require you to take a pay cut when you have it so good in Michigan?

And yeah Shaw from what I understand got a nice raise when a couple of NFL teams were calling him.

I get the feeling Fisher is one of the worlds greatest salesmen. Hearing him talk over the years, you'd think the Rams were 11-5 every year. Dude could find the bright spot in any situation.

Now he can go sell cars, because football is too tough for him now.

Rule of thumb...if John Gruden is linked to a HC job, there is 0% chance he will take it.

he seems to be the name-Du-jour for GM's or owners looking to test the water or let others know they are looking.
