It's too bad you didn't ask them if they had their cell phones with them because that's basically a government chip that the citizenry have self-implanted.

Oh I know. They probably have cell phones and fucking Alexa in their house, maybe even some cameras monitoring the house. Computers, iPads, and TVs with a camera on it. But someone has to come up with an elaborate scheme to deliver a microchip inside a vaccine. Ridiculous.

Sorry to go here and really hate to play devils advocate here but someone that is 90 years old is the first? I hope she is healthy otherwise, she seems it and truly a powerful person to be the first!

The reason I went here is, lets just say she passes away of natural causes in the next few months. That is fuel for the conspiracy theory wingnuts and will sadly bring a few more along for the ride thinking she died due to the vaccine.

EDIT: Yes anyone can die at anytime of anything, my point is the percentages are against her vs someone who is 40-60 years younger.
I just really hope they're giving these things to the healthiest 90 year olds they can find.

Also, I think the LTC workers should probably be prioritized over LTC residents anyway.

I dont think its the fringe folks that needs to be worried about. Lost cause imo. Its the “normal” folks that make up the mass public. I posted that “power of the anecdote” story last week that shows policy makers discussed this fear

These early vaccines arent eradication vaccines (yet). Theyre going to lessen the severity of symptoms. The virus is still going to be spread. I feel “they” havent done a good enough job telling the public that social distancing and masking will still need to happen for quite a while. It has the makings of an overpromise and underdeliver sentiment too

Agreed. Honestly, even the social distancing has gotten a lot worse. A mask does not stop all respiratory droplets. I've noticed at the grocery store recently a lot less attention to distancing, though mask compliance where i live is almost 100%. But still, some people have that mask on and think they are protected. Reality is you wear the mask for others, not yourself. And distancing is just as important as mask usage.

my parents (in their 80's) - still think that they are going to take a river cruise in Spain in April.
I try to temper their expectations every time i talk to them

at least they bought cancellation insurance.

I think everybody should go on a cruise once in their lifetime just for that experience (I went on a honeymoon cruise many years ago and it was great) - However, based on the last 12 months, I don't know how anyone would be enthusiastic about a cruise.

Is that a young comeds training for the state wrestling championship?
Lol, if that doesn't make sense - Vision Quest was the first place I heard Lunatic Fringe. Maybe not everyone else though......

Also, what's the big deal about getting chipped? They got me chipped so if I get out of the yard someone can return me. So far it's helped twice

Rudy when asked if he felt bad that he spread the virus to Jenna: “whoever smelt it dealt it”

It's a pretty good movie (and Linda Fiorentina looked great). Madonna's first appearance in a motion picture (sang "Crazy for You").

/Shot in @naslundfan19 backyard of Spokane, Washington.

Brace yourselves.

Jokes about Michigan being afraid to play OSU are coming.

Maybe someone can verify this for me, but is it true that due to this cancellation, OSU now falls short of the Big 10's self declared minimum of games required to play for the conference championship?
