Breaking news - Canada to get Pfizer doses by the end of the year (no numbers as of yet).

Ohio is getting 650k doses combined between Pfizer and Moderna by end of year. Health Care workers, Teachers and at risk communities first (Nursing homes, chronically ill, etc).

Frighteningly little information about when the second round shows up. Ohio has ~ 12m people. All they are saying is "months" before everyone can get it. And he isn't mandating it.

I agree with that, but the crazies will just go to private schools. And once those fill up all kinds of "schools" will pop up in like former Auto Zone stores. Devos' wet dream. "Charter Schools" on every shopping center.

I think the answer is to tax them if they don't want it (and have no legit medical reason not to take it). You have a choice. And your ignorance is going to fund the fix for the problems your stupid ass is creating.

guess i was thinking that the private schools I know of up here tend to take things a bit more serious (fear of litigation / reputational harm / drop in enrollment).
But there certainly can be an element of " group home schoolin' whar we teach freedumb" if there is enough of a demand.

Mrs 43's school is typically very strict. But after the second half of the year last year so many parents were like "We cannot deal with our own children anymore" so the schools all decided to show their difference to public schools by announcing in person learning no matter what. And enrollment skyrocketed. They added a class at almost every level K-8. They totally went after the money and did not care at all about what was right or what the actual teachers wanted. Like Jesus said in his sermon on the mount - "dollah dollah bills y'all".

You know, it's at times like these that I think about my mom back in Alberta who turned 90 years old on Sunday (of course, I wasn't there to celebrate with her due to the travel restrictions), but this is somebody who lived through WWII when people were locked down for months on end (not for just 15 days), survived the polio scare where people were again not permitted to see their family, and then I go out to twitter to see people railing on Dr. Bonnie Henry for making the right decision and it really makes my blood boil.
