Why are the idiots who believe that God is everywhere and that they can communicate with him by closing their eyes and clasping their hands together the same people who feel the only way to further their own internal beliefs is to go to a large building with tons of other people around them? If God is responsible for everything then surely he created the Internet if you need an advisor or spiritual leader. Furthermore, If you have true faith in your deeply held beliefs, why do you need the affirmation of others in close proximity to maintain said faith? Especially when some limitations to that or suspension of that is only temporary. Seems to me to indicate someone really doesn't have much faith at all and certainly isn't adhering to loving and protecting their neighbor as well as a whole slew of other basic tenets of the religion.

It's not about their "faith" it's about doing whatever the fuck they want, no matter who it impacts.

It's eerily reminiscent of the people who were up in arms about the "economy being destroyed" during the first wave lockdown. When officials came up with mask mandates as a way to more safely keep businesses open and the economy afloat, what happened? These dipshits pivoted pretty quick into becoming the "you're taking away my freedom" crowd. It was all bullshit from the beginning.

In fact I'd bet that the Venn diagram between the "My faith involves wearing my Sunday best and gossiping for an hour after church and you can't stop faith!" circle and the fatso, bearded, armed "you're destroying the econ...er... my right to get loaded at TGIF's without ever wearing a mask" circle is not one perfect circle but it's close.

These people have no capacity for, and/or no inclination towards, rational thought.
