698 new cases in BC since yesterday. 69 on the island.

Nice.... I mean, not nice!

All that tells me is that Dr. Henry tried to be nice and treat people like responsible adults and we all saw the results and then she was forced to bring the hammer down once again.

I don't understand why people are taking unproven veterinary medicine to cure COVID when the answer has been here the whole time...

That's kind of what happened here except when our politicians realized that most weren't responsible adults they decided to just pacify the adult children, tell them they are geniuses and hope they live long enough to vote for them next time.

Gee shocker.
You can't stand in the way of those tough, lone wolf rebels. And you can tell they are all lone wolf rebels because they all wear the exact same bandanas, jackets, boots and jeans as all the other lone wolf rebels. It's so cute when large groups coordinate their outfits. Like a Pride Parade, but in Orange and Black.

And you had to figure they wouldn't wear masks. A lot of them don't want to wear helmets when riding. Not a lot of thought goes into it beyond MUH FREEDOMS. Not many skulls will survive even a 20mph impact on the pavement or the bumper of a Caddy Escalade. Even as thick as these people's are.

You're getting soft in your old age. Not scathing enough.

I am afraid two guys in matching leather chaps and braided gray beards are going to show up and beat me with orange and black teddy bears.

Speaking of wearing helmets, I asked a neighbor who rides w/o a helmet, why? His response was wearing one would mean an open casket and not wearing one would be a closed casket.

The response I gave him so that is the difference between being not being selfish and being selfish.

He got pissed with that comment but honestly don’t care because the guy is a major dick.

Context I was in the front yard doing work and he pulled in to his driveway on a new bike. The other neighbor stopped over and looked at his bike and I actually wanted to ask that other neighbor something else. So I engaged for the hell of it.

This dad in Florida was arrested for grabbing, pushing, and twisting the arm of a female high school student.

The dad objects to masks and has been protesting his daughter not being allowed back into school by being disruptive and recording students at the entrance for 4 straight days. He has been harassing school staff and disruptive at school meetings for weeks.

Juice hasn't posted in almost a month. Just sayin'.

The main difference being that deciding not to wear a helmet (motorcycle or bicycle) only impacts you whereas deciding not to get vaccinated could impact dozens if not hundreds/thousands of people.

Totally. It would also impact your friends and family if anything happened to you, but that is truly the extent. No matter what it is a selfish decision to not take safety precautions in any manner.
