Just at everything. I really thought the vaccines would be enough. Thought by fall the world would look normal again.
If enough had taken the virus seriously and gotten the vaccine in a much timelier fashion, who knows, the variants might not have had time to mutate and we actually might be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel by this point.

I looked up some stats.

It appears that 3 people died from COVID vaccine complications in the US since 2020 began.

During the same period, you were more likely to be mauled by a bear (5 deaths in the US).

To say nothing of the 630,000+ deaths from COVID.

So, Mrs 43's school is requiring masks. The principal sent an email to the staff and said there is a small number of kids who have a medical exemption from wearing masks. So naturally, the first question from the staff was "Who?". The principal said he couldn't disclose, so of course the staff asked how they were to enforce the mask rule in school. Just assume anyone not wearing a mask at any time is one of the small number? After much bickering, he finally relented and stated that there were three kids, all from the same family, who had "Medical exemptions" from wearing masks. Yeah, suuuuuure, all three kids in ONE family have the same condition that prevents them from wearing a mask. So the staff pushed about what the condition was. He shut the discussion down at that point saying that the mom does not want any medical conditions disclosed and she did not want her kids singled out for it.

BITCH YOUR KIDS ARE GONNA BE THE ONLY ONES NOT WEARING MASKS IN THE WHOLE FUCKING SCHOOL

6 months ago that might have worked, but now they even boo their Emperor when he mentions it, so their heels are dug in.

Let's just go ahead and give it to immigrants and Afghan refugees. And re-settle them in Florida and Texas. Gotta increase the vaccinated population percentage somehow.

I like the idea, but wouldn’t requiring them to be vaccinated to work be better?
I think this might be more effective. People will dig in their heels more on getting fired because they'll figure they can just get a new job. But an ongoing hit to the pocket book will be harder to accept.

For a legacy carrier like Delta, firing people could be hard too. Union contracts (for certain employees at least) and the variety of labor laws they have to comply for flight crews because of the unique nature of the business.

Maybe some of the skilled positions (pilots) aren’t easy to replace and can afford $200/ month out of their checks.
But I see many employers doing this.

Also I heard health insurance companies are talking about denying claims for unvaccinated and/or higher premiums.
