Bears have placed G Chilo Rachal on reserve/ left squad list, according to team. He left for "personal reasons."

For no real reason I've been on a penalty thing lately for some reason and that topic popped back into my head when I read Rachal's name. I've seen large parts of a handful of Bears games this year and it seems like his name has been called for a number of penalties.

I just looked it up to see if I was correct. I was. Rachal has been flagged EIGHT times already this season (1 declined). The only guard in the NFL who has been flagged more often than Rachal has been Willie Colon (11 times, 1 of which was declined).

There have been 9 OTs that have been flagged 8 times or more and no center has been flagged more than 4 times (4 of them).

According to multiple sources, Chilo Rachal became upset after being demoted for Chris Spencer, couldn't handle it, and just left.

He'll be back. My outside guess is that he'll say that's not why he left OR chalk it up to frustration and will quickly want to put it behind him. He's always had an immature side to him. Emphasis on "side."

Boy what a bad draft that was. If my memory serves this was the same draft we got Balmer right?

Worst offensive line, in the history of the game. They should all be fucking benched, and we could only be so lucky, if all 5 of em quit. Good riddance you fat slob.

I gotta say, I will NEVER diss on Jay Cutler again - and every Bears fan that every has - owes him a tweet apology!

:puke:Balmer

It was a strong rb draft. The niners whiffed all throughout that draft

Josh Morgan and Larry Grant weren't terrible, for 6th and 7th round... but everyone else, man... we might as well not have even drafted

Yeah, this draft talk made me look back at all the recent drafts. I'm glad they got Larry Grant back from the rams.

Makes you appreciate a 2011 draft and hold out hope that they knew what they were doing in 2012.

It takes talent and opportunity to discover a draft picks potential. No chances for the 2012 class to crack the starting lineup.

Aw man, not directed specifically at you, but I wish people would stop acting like Jenkins and LMJ were wasted picks because they can't crack the active list...

Like you said, they haven't even been given a chance.

It baffles me that the same guys saying Alex Smith limits our offense... are the same guys saying its pathetic that Jenkins can't beat out guys who have 19 targets over 9 games... ... seriously?? WTF?? am I in crazy town?? You're saying our 1st round pick should beat out Kyle Williams paltry numbers.. even though he has only been thrown to 19 times because Alex won't pull the trigger?? Don't even waste your time bringing up Ginn, he is a return specialist... and the ghosts of Kyle Williams NFC Championship game is why the team brought him back.

Oh yeah?? LMJ is a nobody because Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter are killing it?? Seriously... with Gore and Hunter doing what they are doing, why do they need to squeeze Jacobs or LMJ in? I sure as hell don't want to take the ball out of Gore or Hunters hand...

I joke, but these guys have basically been redshirted... not because they suck, but because of unusual circumstances. Specifically, the unbelievable development that 10 weeks into the season... the team doesn't need them.

I have been shouting this since he got here. The dude is tough as nails, and against all laws of physics, he still somehow manages to make plays behind the aforementioned, historically-bad o-line.

It's the truth, and it sucks that everyone dog-piles on Jay, on top of it...."here, take a thumping for 4 hours on Sunday, and then another thumping from media and fans, for all the remaining hours in the week".
