I feel like Austin Traylor needs a touchdown.

I'm guessing that the Chiefs game will be Paxton's final coming out party before the Broncos move on to the Great Quarterback Search of 2018. Too bad the kid never worked out. His percentage chance now of any kind of success in the NFL has got to be in the single digits. The NFL is a tough business.

Sorry Mingo -you are cheering for the battle. I’m in it for the war. I’d start McKenzie at QB.

I believe the Chiefs are locked in at #4, even if the Jags and Chiefs both finish 10-6. I was hoping the Broncos would at least have an opportunity to deprive the Chiefs a playoff spot or mess up seeding opportunities but that is not the case. At this point the best news I can offer is the Chiefs will play the Ravens in the WC game and the Ravens are on one of those runs right now that could lead to another early playoff exit for the Chiefs!

I’m not too emotionally vested in the outcome of this game, save I always would rather watch a win than a loss.

I’m not worried about draft position because I think our QB fix may be on someone else’s roster right now (have I mentioned I keep holding out hope for a trade for Luck?) assuming he is healed up, even with the defense declined Luck makes this team a favorite in the AFC West.

I think Vance has shown enough to keep his job so a win here especially if KC rests their starters only hurts us. Beating a team who wasn't trying does nothing for us since we didn't play them straight up so I say take the loss and give us more leverage in the draft.

There’s not a lot about this year’s Broncos that gives us any reason to believe they’d beat the Chiefs even if they rest their starters and Andy Reid calls in plays by bending over and farting into a trumpet! I’d say 5-11 is a much higher likelihood than 6-10.

It doesn't matter what draft position you have if you don't draft well. The culture of winning is more important.

I agree with this. Forget tanking for the draft: the losses are likely coming either way! But at least play like you’re in it to win it!

Players/coaches don't tank. their job is on the line..

But there are some other ways around that for owners, GM's etc.

If you are a player your mindset has to be...

If I am playing poorly and we are picking higher because of it, that high pick just might be coming in to replace me.

What if your relative's job depended on winning vs getting a higher draft pick
Still rooting for the better draft pick?

We got Von Miller #2 so drafting high does work :)

Especially if marcell Darius would have been their pick at 3 but Aj green
JJ watt and a few others were in that loaded draft

My eyes are getting weaker, but my vision doesn’t see a helluva difference between 5-11 and 6-10. ;)

No. It’s one of the reasons I was openly cheering for the Jets 16 days ago. ;)

And that just confirms the point. It was a loaded draft, and we had our choice at #2 for:
Von
Dareus
AJ Green
Patrick Peterson
Julio Jones
Aldon Smith
Tyron Smith
JJ Watt
Nick Fairley

And we took the right one in 20/20 hindsight. And that’s in an unbelievable draft year. This year won’t have that same star power, and picking 5/6 will be a huge advantage over selecting 9/10- which is the difference in losing/winning vs Chiefs this Sunday.
