First of all, I'm glad Angelo is out. We need some new blood.

Second - I just read a mock draft. It had us taking Dennard (CB) from Neb, and Toon (WR) and Zeitler (OG) from Wisconsin in the first 3 rounds. If this would happen, I would be a happy man.

Greg Olsen irritated me at times at TE while he was here, but I just knew trading him would look horrible after the season was over, cuz I also just knew Martz and his dumb "system" would be gone by then.

Say what ya want about Olsen, but he had more catches than everyone on our team save for Forte this year....from the TE position....splitting time with Shockey. Boner-trade.

I am not sure who I'm rooting for to replace Angelo, I just know I don't want Ruskell.

Bob Bostad is coming to the Bears. The one big weakness of this team will no longer be a weakness. This is unbelievably good news. He is the single best offensive line coach in the business.

Tommie Harris' wife died at the young age of 29. She had gone into the hospital for what they thought was a stroke or a brain anurysm(sp?) She had just delivered their 2nd child not too long before. ChicagoBears.com has a brief write-up on it. Tragic.

Man, I can't wait for Free Agency and the Draft.

Wish-list. Big, dominant WR. O-line and D-line depth. Great Safety play...out of somebody.....anybody.

So Lovie basically endorsed the tandem of Chris Conte and Major Wright as the starting safeties for next year. It makes sense, in that last year they were the most successful combo. That said, I really liked Steltz's effort and tackling over the last few games. Major Wright still has too many mental errors, and some of his whiffs, tackling last year, were hard to stomach. Athletically, Wright is superior to both the aforementioned, but I question his mental fortitude??

Dwayne Bowe was tagged by KC. I think I'd almost rather see the Bears explore WR in FA than the draft. Get somebody that can come right in and make a difference. Of course, with our B-squad of receivers, a rook could prolly come in and take the No. 1 spot anyway.

How bad does the Greg Olsen trade look now? TE is one of the weakest positions in this years draft. Lovie endorses Kellen Davis, yet they brought in Spaeth last year from Pittsburgh?? Davis is a monster size-wise, has decent hands, and seems pretty athletic for his size?...maybe he can turn the corner in a normal system, and not some playstation offense ran by some has-been quack-job.

Angelo's fate might have been sealed with that trade. Especially given the fact that most in their right minds, knew Martz would be gone after the season.

Bears are gonna be a force next year. IMHO, they were the "hottest" team in the league before Cutty went down.

I knew I never liked the fn Taints for a reason. Let's see, week 2 matchup from last season....Earl Bennett, injured from a devestating hit when he was totally defenseless...broken ribs, and internal organ damage. Bennett misses 5 weeks. Same game, Rookie stud, Gabe Carimi, injured for the year with a subflexation of the knee(basically, his knee came apart). Also, Cutler was kicked in the throat in that game, muting his playcalling for the 2nd half. Omiyale, who replaced Carimi in the game, was in a bit of a skirmish late in the game...when asked after the game, what transpired, Omiyale is quoted as saying, "they were just doing some dirty stuff, man."

Gregg Williams has always seemed like a dick to me? Pretty good defenses usually, but just seemed like a dick. I hope Goodell nails em' to the wall by their testes.

This would be a great move too. We'd instantly have one of the better backups in the league, and last year was evidence of the desperate need for an upgrade at the No. 2 spot.

Bears will be a force to be reckoned with next year folks.
