Phil Emery has certainly endeared himself to this fan.

Getting a receiver in a steal-of-a-trade, that is better than the top receiver available in Free Agency. (I'd take Marshall over Vincent Jackson ANY DAY...then convincing Jason Campbell to come in knowing he's going to be the backup? He could start on a few teams for sure. Hell, I'd take him over Carson Palmer if I were the Raiders?

The Bears are still a major player in Free Agency. That is the most unbelievable part of it all. They have been the biggest players so far, and they haven't dropped a dime!? How bout o-lineman Nicks from the Saints? Or the wet dream...Mario Williams....Bears have plenty of money still.

The moves today were brilliant on so many levels.

Kudos, Bears brass.

Brandon Marshall May have legal issues that could keep him out half the season.

hahaha...half the season?! I doubt that my friend. More details need to come out in it...I think it was an accident. Meaning he was trying to hit someone else and accidently hit her. Either way, I doubt he serves much of suspension, if any.

Just read on Facebook, the Bears have signed Eric Weems, Pro Bowl return man/WR from the Falcons.

Bears land Michael Bush...good pick up despite Forte's whining.

I assume Barber will be cut in the next few days. A great move though, apparently Matt thinks that Bell and Klutz will be adequate for the Bears if he goes down again. I don't like the way that the front office has handled Forte but I don't see signing Bush as "Disrepecting" him.

Yup. Matt has always seemed to be a bright, humble young kid. He needs to stay the course, and he will get his. Snotty tweets is not the way to accomplish this. It just makes you look like a punk. If he's smart, he'll try and do some-damage control.

What's up with the Ravens taking all our Special Teams guys every year??

Dave Toub will just reach into his bag of annual Pro Bowl Special Teamers, but one has to wonder why Corey Graham could never crack the starting lineup on defense?? Certainly our secondary is not that solidified??

I'd like to know what Bears brass has already offered him....I know it wasn't Chris Johnson money, but look how that turned out. No running back is worth that kinda money IMO. It was proven last season, that Cutler is the MVP of the offense. I hate to say this, but you could plug Bush OR Bell in there, and you wouldn't see a massive dropoff. Forte is definitely a stud, but is he worth AP money? I dunno?? I hope they get a deal done....I am fairly confident that they will get it done.

Hanie...backing up Manning. Denver sure seems to like our re-treads at QB??

Can't wait for the Draft.

I don't think the Bears should let Okoye get snatched up. He is young still, with an upside. He had a productive season last year in the rotation. I think he'd stay with the Bears, if they at least come close to what other teams are offering...just to stay with the Bears. With Marinelli, and the cast of Vets on D, I think he'd like to stay put, but ya gotta do what's best for you, financially-speaking.

Another star next to Phil Emery's name....great job locking up Briggs for a couple more years.

Now let's go get the kid signed and settled. (Forte)

So Beardown, what are your thoughts on the draft? Who do you think we should take, and who do you think we will take?

rep ya when I can occupant...love it.

smart,

I think the Bears are in the best position entering a draft, that they've been in, in some time. As far as the 1st round is concerned, I would like to see them either get a stud DE, or a lockdown CB. If either of those are not available, I'd like to see em' trade out for more picks, and start stocking for the future. I don't feel that the Bears are "1 stud draft pick" away from being a Super Bowl contender, as I feel they are contenders right now. (If anything getting Brandon Marshall fits that category) The Bears o-line is a bit of a riddle? I'd like to see em' get much better, but can a rookie jump in a provide that? Continuity, Tice, and getting some injured guys back, (Carimi and Williams) should help. IMHO, this is the best Bears team assembled since the glory days. I fully expect them to be one of the elite teams this season.

I did not see this first round pick coming?? Does anyone think this kid can supplant Nick Roach, day 1? I get stocking the LB position, and drafting for the future en sech, but with the first round pick?? I want a day 1 starter with my first round pick. Jus sayin

He might be able to supplant Roach, but it's still not the right pick. He have 3 OL positions to fill, and two guys were available that would be 12 year starters. I'm not happy with this pick at all. They should have taken Reiff or DeCastro.

I agree completely.

An equally good LB coulda been picked up later.
