I hate to say it but Williams isn’t it. After watching him in the PAC and NFL, he’s not going to be the man to lead a team. No matter who the coach is.
Well I’m certainly convinced that he isn’t the god that he was preordained to be.

Yeah I personally think first overall picks should be able to block better than that. Also he should probably catch passes too while he’s at it.

Anyone walking away from today’s game thinking the QB was the problem needs their fucking head examined.

Leave it to you to somehow make it that if I don’t think the guy is going to be Peyton Fucking Manning that it must mean I think he’s trash.

But you continue week after week absolving Caleb from any responsibility whatsoever if it makes you all tingly down there. I truly don’t give a shit.

I have on so many occasions pointed out when Caleb has either taken a bad sack or thrown a bad pass.

Many, many times.

But go on.

Jesus, have we ever won IN San Fran?

I was there at Candlestick when Kaeperdick got his first start and they steamrolled us. Cutler hurt the week prior.:rolleyes2:

I think I've mentioned it here before, but I have seen the Bears in person 4 times, and the only "starting" QB, was Rex coming out at halftime against the Falcons in '05. Ugh.

Dude, minus Odunze, our WR's were not good today.

I never thought I would say this, and I don't know wtf is actually happening, but what in the actual fuck is going on with Cole Kmet?? I am close to moving on. How in the actual fuck has this dude been so non-existent? Done with Braxton Jones too.

Kinda bugs that once we decided to finally use Roschon, he gets hurt mysteriously. I honestly don't remember him getting hurt last week? I don't remember him getting on the field even??

Hate to be this guy, but we had won our prior two meetings there in 2014 and 2018. Granted we didn’t play very well in either

Williams has been nothing short of magnificent over the past month of his rookie season. Statistically, in the clutch, turnovers, name it...

I don't know how anyone could POSSIBLY be watching Caleb's rookie season closely and not be excited through the fucking roof about him.

I can't stand some of the sacks he takes and even when he's having a good game - he WILL randomly (once or twice) miss the broad side of a barn door when targeting an open receiver. These are the things he still needs to improve at. Overall, though? What more do you want? The way he's played in the 4th quarter, from behind with the game on the line, he never turns the ball over (besides a really weird fumble today that I don't understand), etc.

Also, just the way he carries himself should eliminate all fears about these "character/ego concerns". I've never met a more boring guy on the podium or in interviews that somehow, magically gets criticized for being an egomaniacal diva. It's just... odd. The whole thing where people saw him paint his nails and turned it into a thousand other things is WEIRD.

Go back to the last month of games and watch the first half of each one and you’ll have your answer. No, it’s not all on Caleb, but he isn’t blameless either. (Was definitely clear to me yesterday that in the 2nd half the Niners D was just preventing the deep plays and chunk gains and wasn’t too worried about us going on a nine minute drive for a TD. They softened.).

100% agree on the character concerns though. Sadly, I think a lot of it is that he has been thoroughly humbled (And no I’m not happy about it. He seems mentally defeated.). I hope whomever the next coach is can convince him to just completely forget this season.

That is an elite head coach and offensive coordinator, Kyle Shannahan. He saw the personnel on the field and called the right plays. See Sanborn in, throw the ball, see Stevenson watching the backfield, put someone behind him.
We have some better CB's on this team than Stevenson, definitely need that answer next year. Mr Biles is exactly what he is, a third string safety. We were looking for that guy in the last draft too, weren't we? Shelton getting blown up big time, multiple times and Homer in on third down running routes. Swift cant get the tough yards between the tackles, but they still keep running him there. At least Rome showed he can get some separation.

Just completely outclassed in every aspect of that game.

I only seen a few glimpses of the game yesterday,my grandson turned one,but I Rex Ryan said Eberlose looked like George Halas compared to Brown yesterday....and at the half, the 9ers had 314 total yards and the Bears had 4........4 total yards??
And thats vs a team I thought was reeling while we were gaining momentum.....

Wtf man

SF was in cover zero for much of the game yesterday. Just daring the Bears to take shots. A good OC sees that and sets up some deep plays. The problem for us is Caleb hasn't hit those throws at high percentage this season and often times the line can't block long enough anyway.

It would also help to have a speed threat. We have 3 good receivers but no one that can routinely threaten a deep route.

With each passing game it just becomes more and more obvious how bad Poles is at building a roster.

Well ya, since it was ostensibly a rhetorical question, you're being that guy, and that's not really a compliment.
