That was chapter 3,125 in a book entitled “Why I Tell My Kids To Be Packer Fans”

My Grandfather was a Bears fan. He passed it on to his son who passed it on to me. The cycle of abuse must end.

Per Twitter…

221 coaches have had 20+ career games decided by 7 points or fewer. Matt Eberflus' .227 win percentage in those games (5-17) ranks 221st

Wow, yet another wuda cuda shuda. Gotta be honest guys, I'm getting sick as fuck saying this week after week. That final drive was the epitome of frustration, whether it was ill timed penalties, Caleb's woebegone misfire to a wide open, cross-cutting DJ, which clearly shows he would have gone into the end zone, or the as-usual horrible clock management in those final crucial seconds.

Too many sacks, too many play calls, especially on first down, which take too long to develop for a team with a below average OL. They need faster plays, like slant ins, to gain those necessary yards and make it easier for moving the chain with the other two plays.

Not taking anything away from the Lions, they whupped us fair and square. That first half was excruciating, but this is why they should be the odds on favorite to go to and win the SB. That is one talented team out there.

They played well down the stretch but came up just a little short.

Bill Cower ripped Eberflus in the CBS post game.
On FOX, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw let Eberflus have it too.

Jimmy Johnson's face was turning red. He was very animated. Thought I heard a few of the FOX panel called the situation dysfunctional.

When the goal in the last 4 seasons was to get higher draft picks, it’s hard change that. Losing leads to losing.

They did say dysfunctional.....and I totally agree......its unreal the front office just keeps letting this happen.
Eberlose shouldve been fired a few weeks ago.

Kinda happy it happened for the entire NFL to witness. May actually force Warren's hand to act asap.

I feel like I am taking crazy pills. What in the actual fuck?

Eberflus should be fired TONIGHT.

I have never seen anything like this team in all my years of watching football. Shit is unreal.

If it makes you feel any better they went for 2 again in the down 10 situation only to have it bite them in the ass again. So he's consistent, unfortunately consistently stupid.

I will not be able to explain this and do it justice, but was standing with my brother during the final drive (He’s a Dolphin fan, I’m the Bear fan).

He was jokingly asking, “What new way of losing to rip your heart out of your chest will happen that you haven’t already done this year?”.

I’m like, “Hail Mary… check. Blocked/missed game winning field goal… check. Miracle comeback to go to overtime only to lose in overtime…. Check.

I don’t know what else we got, but we’ll lose. I know that.”

Two minutes later.

“So we didn’t even think of, Having a timeout in your pocket and inexplicably not using it?”

“”Yeah, didn’t have that anywhere on my bingo card.”

Da Bears!

Man. 7 weeks ago I was thinking how wrong I was about Kaleb. How wrong I was about tanking for picks creating a culture of losing. How wrong I was about coaching and the Gm.

Here’s the thing, I knew it may have gone sideways but not this way. We had 2 games in our grasp. We forced OT last week just to be totally inept. Then today, totally unprepared in the 1st and then dominating the second half. The only drive Detroit put together was aided by a ridiculous (late) flag.

We had it but we’re just fucking losers. Oh well, I’ll be back next week thinking we could win out and maybe 9 wins could get us in the playoffs. That’s how big of a loser I am.

That was certainly not the goal last season. How quickly people forget the days of "Fields is a dark horse for MVP" and all of that hyped up shit that was circulated before last year.

I am actually the most encouraged by the Bears that I have been, maybe ever. Simply due to how our QB looks and his growth as a passer/runner recently (he still takes way too many sacks).

This sucks, but big picture wise? The last few weeks have been really good. I know... I know... eye roll inducing. But seriously... we have QB.

It's amazing how unphased I was by things at half when we were getting completely undressed. I was FINE and in a very pleasant mood.

They HAD to make it hurt. lol
