Dude, you're a michigan fan. Please believe me when I tell you that there are way, way more people laughing at michigan than at OSU.

Probably so, but we’re talking about osu and their constant crying about it’s always someone else’s fault we lost, not michigan and how we suck

...seriously? The number of steps a player takes with the ball secured is basically the universal measure of what constitutes a completion. Here's the even simpler definition from the NCAA rule book:

Player possession
The ball is in player possession when a player has the ball firmly in his grasp by holding or controlling it while contacting the ground inbounds.

It was clearly, by definition, a catch. There's simply no argument to the counter.

Of course there is. He didn't make a football move.

because it seemed out of place.
LOL, come on man quite a few things seem out of place on the SportsHoopla. If I were to call you out on anything you post that seemed out of place, I won't have enough time in the day.

1. No launch
2. QB changed his level at the last minute

He's a 6'6" QB and Wade is 6'0". He wasn't defenseless. It was an absolutely horrible call that completely changed the game.
Not really debatable. Someone wants to say "not a target but your team still had a lot of game left to recover?" Agreed. What's funny is those caling it a clear target are mostly fans of a team who is an alsoran.

Constant? What the hell are you even talking about? This is the first loss OSU has had in years where anyone is saying anything other than "We deserved to lose the game".

Bullshit, he dropped his helmet to lead with the crown and that's all there is to it. He keeps his eyes up and leads with his facemask there is no call. It's not difficult to understand
Seems difficult for you.

If the QB goes in upright, how does a 6-0 guy go helmet to helmet with a 6-6 player?
This. It is absurd to call it targeting in this instance when he made no effort to launch or even remotely move upward at all. He moved straight ahead, but he can't control what Lawrence does.

It doesn't have to be helmet to helmet to be targeting. It can simply be forcible contact by leading with the crown of the helmet.

There are 4 indicators of targeting. Any 1 indicator can be cause for the penalty. Launching is only 1 indicator.

And this is what makes it the worst penalty in all of football. You punish the action of the player. What he did was attempt to make a solid, clean hit. He cannot control what Lawrence does, but ultimately they erased a fantastic defensive play with a bullshit interpretation of a horrible rule.

You actually don't know what constitutes a football move, do you?

Maintains control of the ball long enough to enable him to perform an act common to the game, i.e., long enough to pitch or hand the ball, advance it, avoid or ward off an opponent, etc.,

They didn’t really fold. The fought back. It just came up short. Had the referees made the right calls in the fumble return for a TD and not thrown out the player for targeting, the buckeyes probably win.
If the Buckeyes would have played some defense in the last Clemson drive, then yes they might have won.

So blame the rule. The penalty was legit.

3 steps forward trying to get more yards is not a "football move"?

I get wanting to troll as you've really got nothing else to do when it comes to CFB but you could try to make sense at least.

Be a better troll.

Unbelievable game

A slugfest, give credit to all the players for laying everything on the line. OSU is good as advertised. Healthy Dubbins, Fields and their defense was great tonight. I guess the college football gods wanted Clemson to win this one. Good game OSU
