Well my point was more about how many seasons Jordan didn't make the finals. Which apparently doesn't count against him. But make sure to ignore all the other points I made.

Yeah, shame on MJ for sticking by his team, turning the Bulls from a joke to 6 time NBA champs.

He should have just hopped from team to team.

Like I said, you always got issues w/ him. It's actually a little disturbing.

I hope you'll be able to sleep at night. I know stuff like this really bothers you

Who's upset? All I've done is point out how often you're always talking shit about the same player. It's funny how pissy you get whenever anyone disagrees w/ you.

Yes Wamu. You feel the need to criticize every negative post I make about a player but, no, you're not upset at all

If you put Dirk in the Eastern conference and Lebron in the Western conference, which player has more Finals appearances over their career?

MJ played in college....LeBron didn't. You have to factor that in. Comparing their first 14 seasons is a much better starting point.

Yes it is the same as last weeks thread started by you no? Same argument? With bullshit stats.

At 32 Jordan had 4 titles, not 3. And did it in less time than Lebron with a more consistently competitive conference.

Michael Jordan was born in 1963. Jordan won titles in 91,92,93,96,97,98. Explain how he was 32 when he won his fourth.

Jordan skipped 2 years voluntarily in his first 14 years.

Do you think that players have a certain number of games in them or is age more of a limiting factor?

Jordan was 32 when that season started, 33 when it ended. Basketball Reference has player age listed next to each season, but it relates to age at the beginning, not the end. Pretty easy mistake to make.

Fair enough.

Listening to The Ringer NBA podcast and Kevin O'Connor brought up this point.

If you compared Lebron James to 32 year old Michael Jordan, you could easily argue that James has been the better player.

So let's compare the two.

Jordan turned 32 in 1995 so we can include that year.

Jordan

3 NBA Titles
3 Finals appearances in 10 seasons
3 NBA Finals MVP
3 MVPs
9 All-Stars
8 All-NBAs 1st team
7 All-defensive player 1st team

James
3 NBA titles
7 NBA finals in 13 seasons
3 NBA finals MVP
4 MVPs
13 All-stars
11 All-NBAs 1st team
5 All-defensive 1st team.

Based on this if James can have anything approaching the same career as Jordan in the back half then it seems that there is a pretty compelling argument that James had the better career.

Obviously a lot of this comes down to rings. If James can carry the Cavs to a title this year he would actually be ahead of Jordan when it comes to titles at this point in their careers.
Who's this Kevin guy you get your info from and what's the point again?

This Warriors team demolishes Ewings Knicks

All the ridiculous stuff ive read, that has to take the cake

Does anyone even realize the second best player on Ewings' Knicks was John Starks?

Charles Oakley was an enforcer, that team was full of role players....The Warriors field what could be the All Star team for the West

Jeff Van Gundy just basically said a lot of the same and said you could make a hard case that Lebron is the GOAT and no one else is close to either of the 2, between him and Jordan....

Said his most impressive work actually has come in Finals losses, called the 2007 Pistons team a great team, that he beat in the ECF, and said his work in the 2015 finals after Love and Irving went down was nothing short of miraculous......

Ill go with Van Gundy
