OK. And his first finals appearance wasn't for 7 years.

2 years difference apparently is a world of difference.

Imagine if Jordan wasn't suspended?

Suspended? :L

You smoke good weed. Do you even read? First off, has Lebron had the Celtics, Pistons, or Knicks in the East to contend with like Jordan did when he came into the league? In a much more physical league? The league is waaaay softer now. The East is a joke. If I honestly have to tell you that.. :L

2nd of all, call 6-0 in the Finals with 6 MVPs nostalgia all you want. It is what is. 6 rings. The man dominated when he was in the finals. He didn't lose and it was ALL on his shoulders.

It's like you have this mission to find a way in which Lebron is better than MJ. He's not.

But..but..but Finals appearances!!! In the tough Eastern conference :pound:

Michael Jordan wanted to be the best player ever to walk the earth.

Lebron James wants to be better than Jordan. Look at his dam number.

Ain't happnin

Ewings Knicks were stronger than any opponent lebron ever faced in the east.

He can't read or he's really high. I said the Knicks in the East and he threw the Warriors at me. :L

He must be in his 20s because this is a hot mess

If only you were old enough to have seen Jordan play. You would have never even started this thread.

I'm 48. I think I saw Jordan play a few times.

The '7 straight finals' talk is all they have.

Heck, the toughest opponent lebron faced in the last few years was the Raptors - who probably wouldn't even MAKE the playoffs in the 90s East.

Jordan came into the NBA -- Bird won his 1st MVP and then won the next 2. Magic and Jordan split the next 6.

This will be the 4th year in a row Lebron hasn't sniffed a MVP

Yeah Lebron would have just been battered back in the rough and tumble 90s. He's such a snowflake.

If the 6-0 achievement is all that matters to you then you shouldn't even try and argue the point. Lebron could win the next 5 titles and it still wouldn't matter to you.

HEY! That Bulls team with Rose and Butler a few years ago had the Heat down 2-1!

If you did, and you really do like to see star players, you wouldn't even dream of mentioning Jordan and lebron in the same sentence, let alone start a thread why "lebron has had a better career"

Funny. I could have sworn I posted this..

Jordan

3 NBA Titles
3 Finals appearances in 10 seasons
3 NBA Finals MVP
3 MVPs
9 All-Stars
8 All-NBAs 1st team
7 All-defensive player 1st team

James
3 NBA titles
7 NBA finals in 13 seasons
3 NBA finals MVP
4 MVPs
13 All-stars
11 All-NBAs 1st team
5 All-defensive 1st team.

I don't think I mentioned 7 straight finals appearances in that list.

You guys are so entrenched in your arguments you keep trying to push back to those talking points.

I liked watching Jordan play as well. And Magic. And Hakeem. I never liked the Celtics so I wasn't a big Bird fan.

It took lebron 9 years to win his first title
It took Jordan 7 years

It took Kobe 4 years...

So what? When MJ won his 1st he was his teams # 1 option. Same for LeBron. And nobody in their right mind would ever say that Kobe was the Lakers # 1 option when he won his 1st ring.

Finals appearances is literally the SECOND thing on that list.

Look at you going snowflake. If Lebron wants to win the next 2 -- 3 in a row like Jordan did twice... Then we have a conversation and it's 1a & 1b.

But right now you are just a little snowflake making another Lebron & Jordan thread.

Well my point was more about how many seasons Jordan didn't make the finals. Which apparently doesn't count against him. But make sure to ignore all the other points I made.

Ok, in that case, Kobe won TWO titles as the #1 before lebron did.

And you still can't answer the question of the East now vs back then.

Jordan came into the league against the Celtics, Pistons, and Knicks. Lebron doesn't have a legit team in the East that could actually contend for a NBA title.

game over

LeBron could be 7-0 in the Finals & you'd still find something to complain about.

Yes it is the same as last weeks thread started by you no? Same argument? With bullshit stats.

At 32 Jordan had 4 titles, not 3. And did it in less time than Lebron with a more consistently competitive conference.
