He was beyond bad....but might be a little too early to dump him. a lot of bad QB play week 1 (never mind Dallas has a really good D).

I'm not going to write him off days after he lost his father. Who knows what headspace he was in. Improvement is definitely needed, both from Watson and the play calling.

I might have to watch the whole game the stat line is 2-15 levels of hot mess.

Jerry Jeudy had 25 yards on 8 targets
Amari Cooper had 16 yards on 9 targets
Elijah Moore had 9 yards on 6 targets
Watson sacked 6 times

Not even sure how much of the good plays were garbage time. Maybe just regroup and play even average and the Browns should be a great football team.

He needs his masseuse crew! Why Cleveland has not hired a whole massage team to fix him up is baffling to me!

He literally could not get any accuracy on any ball over 10 yards.

I know this was a big worry with him coming out of college. No zip on his throw. It definitely wasn't the case in Houston, though.

That and when he made a good throw I counted 5-6 drops. Moore dropped two or three, Cooper dropped one, Njoku dropped one. Not sure if there were more. A lot of throws out of bounds too, either throwing away or just missing his target.

Sounds like something Leroy Bickerstaff would say... :D

I'm looking at a stat sheet and seeing the following:

Elijah Moore: 6 targets, 4 catchable, 2 drops
Amari Cooper: 9 targets, 3 catchable, 1 drops
Jerry Jeudy: 8 targets, 3 catchable, 0 drops

Seems like the biggest issue there is route running and/or accuracy. One of your receivers did a Kadarius Toney of bouncing a ball straight into an INT, right?

It seems like a lot of things went wrong.

The story of this game was a QB not getting the time to plant his foot and get to a second read. The one stat that tells this games story is number of pressures and hits on QB.

Man, idk. I would say the Browns should use this latest case to void the contract, given he now has over 2 dozen such accusations, but apparently those didn't matter so, idk anymore.

Wouldn't the team have to wait until the league steps in and possibly suspends him?

From what I saw a lot of Watson's scrambles really sucked, too. There must have been at least 5 or 6 plays of 'oh, there he goes extending the play...oh nevermind'

You do have to give some credit to Dallas for sure

That's gonna be a lot of last place finishes for the Steelers in the next decade.
darn shame these gems aren't contained in one place.

you & iggloo are always the first to jump to conclusions and jab that stick. Must be why neither of you boys return stick jab volleys all that well.

lol

I’m so glad my Falcons didn’t trade for Watson as they considered doing. Not only is he a slimebag who’s hard to root for but his play since joining the Browns has been subpar. He looks washed up honestly.

Mike Zimmer is our hope.

one game...who knows
He had a bad stretch at the end there with the Vikings but other than that I think he has been really good on defense. I thought he was pretty consistently good on the Bengals.

You mentioned quick penetration. Does Dallas still run the 4-3 Miami Jimmy Johnson style defense?

hard to say now.

This league is much different, it seems packages determine who is on the field. I wouldn't want to play strong side LB..they might get 10 snaps from scrimmage each week.

Zimmer has deep history with Dallas, One of my favorite DC's in football.

Really need those first 4 games to see what most teams will be.
