Good post. I feel the same exact way. I literally hold my breath everytime he throws the ball and pray for the best. He makes a good throw, then he makes three that make you shake your head. I hope I'm wrong about Manning, I really do. I like him a lot, I just think he's hit the wall. And leaving him in there just because he's Peyton Manning is all the wrong reasons. He misses terribly on what should be routine throws. It's only a matter of time before he ends up costing the team, and that might cause this team to implode. Maybe shoot him up with steroids

There is no way they bench Manning but if this was
I think many of us are on the fence about whether or not we want to see Oz get his shot now/soon. I'm still not there yet. I think it is a little too soon to pull Manning, but this would be a good week to do so in that it would give Oz 2 weeks to get reps with the first team offense. Plus, it is a home game, which helps.

However we fans feel about it though, it seems unlikely that Kubes would make that decision right now.

If his last name wasn't Manning it may have already happened. I agree though stick with Manning because benching Manning would be a media mess and the team doesn't need that shit.

Count me in the camp of NO WAY do we switch our QB when our team is 6-0. What happens if the Broncos put Oz in and he plays poorly? What if Oz begins to cost the Broncos wins more than Manning? Do you put Manning back in? I just don't think the Broncos can afford that type of circus distraction. i know that there are many Broncos fans that won't agree with me. This is just my opinion but I think the Broncos would be CRAZY to bench Manning right now. I say all of that, while readily agreeing that he's never looked worse in a Broncos uniform.

Dead on

It would be Plummer/Cutler all over again. We certainly don't need that as long as we keep winning.

Smile big time. That`s why I posted that if Manning were to come down with the flu and not a benching. I don`t think anybody in the football world would be kind to Elway/KubiI wouldntk if he got benched and they were still unbeaten or even with another poor showing and a win. You don`t mess with that karma on team. If in a though he just had to take a game off though.....I think many of us would just like to see how Oz would or wouldn`t perform in a meaningful reg season game. I believe curiosity would serve well here. Another good thing also is Denver just might get the luxury of experimenting later in season if the rest of the AFC West keeps tanking and Denver has like a 5 gm lead, they just might use the "give Manning a break " excuse so nobody gets offended scenario, maybe?

Great points, randymon. I am really curious to see what Oz can do at this point. If we get an even bigger lead in the division, he could see a game or 2 before the end of the regular season, maybe the last 2 games. But I wouldn't mind seeing him get a start before then either.

One more reason that this would be a good time to give Oz a shot: we're playing an NFC opponent, so a loss wouldn't mean as much in playoff seeding scenarios.

Honestly just watched the entire game and more so than Manning I would say D. Thomas was a much bigger disappointment in this one. He had this same problem before the Bye last year though of drops and just not looking very connected with what is going on. I'm hoping we see the same resurgence like we saw last year after the Bye week. Paid him big money to be a star for this team. So far haven't seen much return on the investment.

I agree not one his best games at all. Between his drops and the Manning interception in OT which was beyond terrible but yet the defense bailed the offense out again from keeping the Browns out of fg range. Don't know what was worse. Thomas has to get his head out of his ass. He needs to be a beast.

Also got done watching highlights of Marshall for the Jets just seeing how physical he is with corners if he gets jammed and how he just shoves of defenders. I think Thomas needs to be more of a beast in those ways. No one should be able to cover Thomas period. Want more physical play from the offense. No more getting smacked in the mouth like is the Super Bowl versus Seattle. That's why I like this Jets team this year. With Ivory and Marshall plus a physical o line and defense they have a shot to make some noise and most would agree the Broncos have better talent then the Jets or pretty damn close.

All good post and thoughts for sure. I think everyone is getting just a little nervous with Manning and the offense and rightly so. Hell, ( at beginning of season) we even all talked about Oz coming in later in season even if Manning was playing good, just to keep him stronger and healthy for playoff run, etc, so having discussions about Manning/Oz isn`t really going overboard at all. It`s just a topic that deserves consideration and right now it`s not really as "abominable" to be having talks one way or the other. If Manning were to come out and lay an egg vs GB, I`ll just take a wild guess and say we`ll be having this same conversation again Gents :). Hopefully, Manning and offense put on a solid performance and this Oz talk will be held off for at least another game:). I do know one thing though that`s been different for me since Manning came to Denver....I`am holding my breath alot more when he goes back to pass than I ever have done before. I want that to stop....Please Manning?????

Just for the sake of discussion-

If we put Oz in, we need to commit to him

His physical abilities would open everything up, and the entire offense would have to adjust ... Oz can buy time, move around, and he could get yards running - WRs would need to block when he takes off, or improvise when he moves around, and this is not just a one game adjustment

Plus, it's not like he has started regular season games in the past - he would need time

If Oz goes in, it should be for the long haul

I'd be ecstatic
