We still deserved to lose but a win's a win. However the Offense needs to take this bye week and get their shit together.
No we didn't. We deserved to win because that's what we did. There's no deserving to win or lose, it's just did you win or lose, period. That's it.

You guys should start calling these game threads the overreaction threads. My word.

I actually like that. He's standing up for his teammate and to me it shows the team is still united as a team.

Now, if one of the players starts taking shots at Manning, or if the defense says that the offense needs to pick it up, or something like that, then I'll be concerned. That's the sign of a team that's cracking.
Yea, it's great he's sticking up for his teammate. But he sounds stupid calling people fake fans.

Haven't heard any updates on any injuries yet. I think Kubiak usually has his Monday Press day in the early afternoon so we should have a better idea then. I will say the fact that we didn't hear anything about him needing X-Rays or MRI on the shoulder should mean the team thinks he is fine and will just need some rest.

So great story about Kubiak coming out today for the game yesterday. After Manning threw a Pick-6 and the offense was going back out on the field Kubiak took over the headset and told the team now is not the time to panic now is the time to get aggressive and called the deep pass to Sanders that works perfect.

Flash back to last year in the playoffs and our defense is getting burned by TY Hilton and Fox just stands there. The media asked him after that game why he didn't go talk to Del Rio to make the switch and he said something along the lines of I let my coaches coach. Now while I respect that I do think there are times that a HC needs to step in and his voice be the one that the players hear even during the game.

Watched game but haven`t had chance to look at replay yet. But my first observations of the game showed the O-line played much better in both run and pass pro. Rb`s ( mostly Hilman ) did pretty good. I will say in 4th and OT that Anderson showed some flashes with his leg drive that`s been missing from last season. Getting more worried with Peytons performances. Don`t know if it was glove ( don`t remember how many times I yelled at tv for him to take off the damn glove) because many passes seemed to just come out of his hand really ugly many times. Something is not right whether it`s age,arm strength, fatigue already, decision making or what, but he is scaring the crap out of me every game so far. Maybe it wouldn`t make a dif,I don`t know, but I kinda wish Manning would get the flu for one game and they have to start Oz just to see what he would do.... IDK?? The D is great, I think the O-line and run game is maybe starting to get it together but I`am just so sceptical of Manning not costing this team some wins with the way he is playing. Maybe Oz wouldn`t be the answer and it`s feast or famine with Manning and we just hope he starts eliminating the To`s and starts finding some consistency without the dumb mistakes. I think if Manning struggles vs Pack and NE, Kubes just might have no other choice to give Oz a shot before theirs a mutiny of sorts from within. I`am seeing more " visible " frustration from Wrs and D players when he turns ball over or just misses terribly than I`ve ever seen in past. Hopefully he starts doing better and soon.

Don't go there with OZ. Not with this group of fans. I want to see Manning after a bye and see what he does against the Bengals and Patriots. The Packers defense got shredded by Rivers but the Chargers just couldn't get it in the end zone. I expect Manning to have a good game against the Packers after some rest. If not after these 3 games I may mention Oz.

Good post. I feel the same exact way. I literally hold my breath everytime he throws the ball and pray for the best. He makes a good throw, then he makes three that make you shake your head. I hope I'm wrong about Manning, I really do. I like him a lot, I just think he's hit the wall. And leaving him in there just because he's Peyton Manning is all the wrong reasons. He misses terribly on what should be routine throws. It's only a matter of time before he ends up costing the team, and that might cause this team to implode. Maybe shoot him up with steroids

:). Yeah I knew that would be risky but prob not as much as a wk ago:). Like I said though and really have to say I don`t know if Denver would be even close to better off with Oz in there it`s just going to be in our minds more and more if Peyton continues to struggle because we have no other options :) I like everyone else is really, really rooting for Manning to keep those Oz thoughts from rearing it`s ugly head going forward. Cheers!

I think many of us are on the fence about whether or not we want to see Oz get his shot now/soon. I'm still not there yet. I think it is a little too soon to pull Manning, but this would be a good week to do so in that it would give Oz 2 weeks to get reps with the first team offense. Plus, it is a home game, which helps.

However we fans feel about it though, it seems unlikely that Kubes would make that decision right now.

I am one that I honestly wouldn't mind the team making the switch. The biggest issue though is the team is winning. How do you bench your starting QB when the team is 6-0? When you throw in the player is one of the team captains and a HOF player it just makes that switch right now impossible. Right now I am just hoping that this bye week gives Manning and Kubiak some time to sit down and figure things out. I'm hoping it is more about the scheme than it is about Manning's deteriorating skills. We shall see though. He finally had a run game and great blocking from the OL and the struggles were still there. No longer can that be an excuse.

Count me in the camp of NO WAY do we switch our QB when our team is 6-0. What happens if the Broncos put Oz in and he plays poorly? What if Oz begins to cost the Broncos wins more than Manning? Do you put Manning back in? I just don't think the Broncos can afford that type of circus distraction. i know that there are many Broncos fans that won't agree with me. This is just my opinion but I think the Broncos would be CRAZY to bench Manning right now. I say all of that, while readily agreeing that he's never looked worse in a Broncos uniform.

I don't think it is possible for Oz to play more poorly than Manning right now. This team is winning because of the Defense, plain and simple. Manning isn't even protecting the ball and being a good game manager right now

Smile big time. That`s why I posted that if Manning were to come down with the flu and not a benching. I don`t think anybody in the football world would be kind to Elway/Kubiak if he got benched and they were still unbeaten or even with another poor showing and a win. You don`t mess with that karma on team. If in a though he just had to take a game off though.....I think many of us would just like to see how Oz would or wouldn`t perform in a meaningful reg season game. I believe curiosity would serve well here. Another good thing also is Denver just might get the luxury of experimenting later in season if the rest of the AFC West keeps tanking and Denver has like a 5 gm lead, they just might use the "give Manning a break " excuse so nobody gets offended scenario, maybe?

Frankly, Josh McCown looks better than Peyton right now, and we have 2 pro bowl caliber receivers. Cleveland,Not so much
