Historically - some of the Broncos best lineman started with another team - Stink - Zimmerman come to mind.

Kearse is gonna have to tackle better then he did on that play against Derrick Henry if he wants to improve on his 2nd rd grade to the first round.

He isn't quite the freak his uncle Jevon was, but still a nasty skillset, just raw with great tools.

That is exactly what I saw when I watched his game I think against Notre Dame. Part of it was he wasn't even a willing tackler. I saw more than once where a fellow teammate next to him hit the ball carrier and instead of helping out to make sure to secure the tackle he just slowed down in the hopes that his teammate would finish them off. Thankfully he played on a very good team as not many escaped but I just need to see a bit more fire in the kid to stick his head in there. Again very good coverage Safety who I do think can really be that TE killer you want on defense but he will be a huge liability in the run game. Now maybe draft him and have him as that 3rd down specialist year one while you work on his tackling but even then again it is not so much about technique but effort. You can coach technique. Effort is a bit tougher.

CD. Same thoughts here. Kearse has been real soft in the games I have watched him. He doesn't come up and punish ballcarriers like you would like to see a guy of his size. I almost think he should return to school and work on these things, but with a 2nd round grade might be tough to pass up. He has all the tools, but I noticed the same with Kearse he doesn't have that willingness to tackle. He played CB up until this year so maybe with more experience at the S spot that will change but right now he seems very raw to me.

Colorado State WR Rashard Higgins has declared.

He should go pretty early.

There are gonna be a lot of good WR's not drafted with so many WR's declaring.

Today's sportshoopla Draft Prospect of the day:

Jonathan Bullard, DE, Florida
Ranks up there with Shaq Lawson of Clemson as the top run stopping DE in the draft. Both great DE's for the 3-4.

I like Higgins - I mean, how can you not with that 80s fade ??

He's got something electric about him and he seems very positive in his attitude - reminds me a little of Emmanuel Sanders personality wise

DC, where do you see him going ?? .. 3-4 rd ??

The thing is, I think we've got some good talent in Fowler and hopefully Latimer .... Fowler could be a fantastic WR down the line

I also think Higgins could be special. I`m not DC qualified but 3-4th rd sounds very feasible to me. It would be a steal imo.

Yeah I think Higgins goes in that rd 3-4 range. If he works out well maybe even higher. Issue for him is so many WR's going out and he may not have quite the workout numbers they do, but he should put up decent times. His production is off the chart. He's gonna be a good NFL WR IMO. Anything past rd 3 he will be a steal.. I think late 3- early 4.

Roger Lewis of Bowling Green, WR, also declared. Good player. Good speed. Good production. Underrated WR in this class that can be had at a good value spot.

I'm watching Jonathan Bullard right now. I do worry he is a bit small to be playing the DE position in the 3-4. Otherwise I do like how well he anchors himself on most plays. Very good at winning with pad level more so than size.

A couple updated mocks...

1.30 - G Vadal Alexander, LSU - I'm starting to see this name a lot tied to us, which means it will never happen. Strong T who experts predict will move inside to G in the NFL. Great run blocker.
2.62 - DE/DT Adolphus Washington, THE Ohio State - 1st round talent who might fall because he likes hookers. Well, shit... who doesn't? Too bad we sent Matt Prater packing. They'd get along great!
3.94 - LB Scooby Wright, Arizona - Another first round talent who is sliding down the boards. This one is due to injury, though. Impact player when he is on the field, though. I doubt he falls this far in April.

The one above was Walt's... this one is Charlie Campbell's

1.30 - DT Kenny Clark, UCLA - I think the extension of Wolfe knocks this pick off.
2.62 - G/T Germaine Ifeti, Texas A&M - The pick after this one is our boy Vadal Alexander, by the by. Similar in that he played tackle, but is projected to move inside. They say he's got a bit of a nasty streak, unlike recent A&M linemen, but lacks their quickness and athleticism.
3.94 - LB Antonio Morrison, Florida - A bit undersized, but a great run stopper. Needs to get better in coverage.

This is from Draft Utopia.

1.27 - DT/DE DeForest Buckner, Oregon - I think Kiper has this guy as a top 5 pick. Again, the Wolfe extension may have us looking a different direction.

2.58 - C Mike Matthews, Texas A&M - Nice ZBS lineman who could stand to gain some muscle. I think he goes later, but I wouldn't mind the right C in this slot... if he's out there.

3.90 - CB Artie Burns, The U - I don't know about this. In the write up, the author claims we have moved Roby to S and Talib and Harris struggled down the stretch.

3.99 (projected comp) - TE Hunter Henry, Arkansas - I think he goes well before this spot, but if he drops, I wouldn't mind this at all.
