TBH I'm surprise that he is leaving the Pat's after 20 years. That's the best team for Brady to retire from.

Unless Belicheck feels like it is time to move on from Brady and the Pats really aren't an option. We probably don't know the whole story.

Sounds to me like Brady just wants a change, whether that's away from Bill or towards warm weather and/or post-career possibilities and for his wife (LA?).

Nah, most of us assume that New Englanders haven't actually seen the Patriots be terrible so they have an unreasonable amount of confidence.

I've been a fan since the drafted Jim Plunkett in 1970. Trust me when I say "I've seen terrible".

I do have some confidence that they will still be pretty good because of the head coach, but the rest of the league has been poaching players and coaches from them for the last 20 years and at some point............................................

No time to read but are Pats fans throwing him under the bus yet?

Huh... I guess Kraft is taking this “no more happy endings” thing seriously. :noidea:

It would have been cool if Brady went to an AFC East team. just so he could play the pats twice a year.

Weird off topic question but did Trudeau put is under a state of emergency?

I have only been up since 9:30(41 minutes ago)
I stand corrected, the province of Ontario and Alberta have declared a state of emergency.

It's a pain in the ass but for the greater good. My mom has quarantined me from coming to her house for a couple weeks. I live in the country so it feels like business as usual where I live because no one else is around.

all the other teams in the afc east are having a great st. pats day!!!
What do you mean?

NE got rid of the most over rated QB the league has ever seen. So I've been told.

Plus they signed speedy WRDamiere Byrd.

I know mind blowing. Now BB can have a WR go deep and have a QB that can reach him without a hop.

You've forgotten what Welker was in his prime, and that was his second year with the Patriots. Moss's stats dipped with Cassell, but went back up with Brady the following year.

Moss (2008): 69-1008-11
Moss (2009): 83-1264-13

What a shell of a WR, how could anyone win with such dreck?

Cassell threw for 29 tds less than Brady did the year before and had 26 more sacks and that is with a soft schedule like NE had this past season and lost against the mighty AFCE teams so no playoffs after going 18-1

i knew it was bad, but not this bad

Brady's Off-Target Rates
YEAR OFF TARGET% RANK
2010 15.6% 4
2011 21.6% 20
2012 20.6% 22
2013 21.5% 32
2014 18.9% 20
2015 19.5% 24
2016 18.2% 18
2017 17.7% 20
2018 20.1% 31
2019 21.7% 30

Brady has been known for his accuracy over the past decade, which is why his off-target rate of 21.7% last season was so disconcerting. That means that more than one out of every five of Brady's throws were either underthrown or overthrown, which was the third-highest rate in the league. Only Jameis Winston and Josh Allen posted higher off-target rates than the future Hall of Famer. This metric specifically excludes passes that were either thrown away under pressure or spikes to stop the clock, so the high off-target rate is a damning indictment of Brady's losing some measure of accuracy.
