The Tigers have quit on him and it has been noticeable for a while now.

Personally, I think he is gone. The Tigers have a lot of talent and the results are not there.

I told my friends who are Tigers fans that this was a good hire for them. Ausmus seemed like one of those catchers who make a good manager when he was still playing. They are not letting me forget it.

I have read he is most likely to be replaced by Doug Player.

Me too. He was my top choice to replace Jimmy.

But this year has been a trainwreck. He's done nothing to help his own cause.

Yeah. It's tough because he was tasked with making the most out of a roster that's, in a lot of ways, beginning its decline.
