It's funny how A&M was a middle of the pack Big XII team and the minute they get to the SEC they light everybody up. Hmmmm
funny how a new coach and a decent qb can turn things around....hmmmm

As much as I like the barb, all you have to do is look to the NFL for proof that the SEC had/has good defenses. Their players are all over the place.

You're making Stoops point.
Same could be said for Big XII offensive players no?
Is he any different than Sam Bradford, Vince Young, Jason White, Robert Griffin III? OU had 6 straight games of scoring over 60 points. Remember that? Manziel really isn't doing anything special the our conference hasn't seen before.
You have had great one or two teams at the top. Nobody disputes that. Big I'm not going to sit here and let you tell me how great Vandy, Kentucky, Arky, Tenn, Miss St, A&M, Miss St. defenses are.
Since 2005 the sec has had at fewest 4 teams (2009) in the top 25 with Lsu being #1 Florida #3 and the most teams ending up in the top 25 (2010) with Auburn 1 lsu 8 bama 10 can the big 12 say as much? I think not.. along with those "bottom feeders" as you call them. Tenn, ark, ole miss, miss st, mo,Vanderbilt, have all made an appearance in top 25 at seasons end since 2005..
Maybe the real point in all of this is the fact that the SEC is not as deep/talented as it has been in the past. I mean its looking like Team SEC might be watching another conference playing it up in the Natty this year.

They didn't light everyone up. Their stats were inflated while playing lower competition and leaving JFF in for 5 and 6 TD's a game.
Against the better defenses, they never scored more than 30 points.
As we will not let you tell us how great Texas Tech(beat someone first), Kansas(no need), West Virginia (30-0 loss Maryland) Okie St (loss to West Va.),Texas (blowout loss to Ole Miss and BYU) ,Kansas St (loss to Div II team),TCU (loss to Texas Tech) ,Iowa St (no need) , and not ready to crown OU (beat bad ND team/played no one) or Baylor (ULM Warhawks best team they've beat) as good yet. Play someone first. Of course playing the conference schedule is not going to create many losses! Damn, did I just list your entire conference?
Now SEC has Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M (u list as bad but better this year and whipped OU in bowl?), Florida, South Carolina. Jury still out on Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas, Vandy and Missouri.
Tennessee, Miss St(?) and Kentucky are the bottom feeders right now.
None of that has anything to do with 2 points: 1) The Big 12 has been the best and deepest conference for the past many years; 2) The SEC has been the most top heavy conference and overrated as a whole.
