Calvin Natt could have had very similar numbers and just as many rings as BR#6 if he were in that era on that Celtics team.

And that is not a joke.

teehee.... I am biased as he was my first favorite Blazer s a fan that I adored.

This thread and all the people better than Bill Russell is making me laugh. I havent seen Manute Bol or Pee Wee Herman mentioned yet, but the list has been good hahaha.

Manute > Bill Russell

Moses Malone would have rocked Russell's world.

I'm wondering now: Just how many games was Wilt the high scorer in a game his team LOST?

That's one category no one should ever want to rank high in.

A better way of phrasing my last:

That's a category ball hogs are likely to rank higher in than unselfish, TEAM players.

Russell has a goatee. That's the only way "GOAT" will EVER be associated with him.

Ahhh, okay. Yeah, Wilt was a real liability on offense. If that son of a bitch would have passed the ball more instead of dunking over people like Bill Russell, the Lakers would have won more. :burt:

Also, Wilt did not "overvalue" offense. He scored like he did in Philly because he had to for them to win. When he became a Laker and joined the likes of Jerry West, Elgin Baylor and Gail Goodrich, his scoring dropped dramatically.

As a Warrior/76er, he averaged well over 30 points per game, but as a Laker, he only averaged 17.7 ppg. He still averaged 20 rebounds per game as a Laker.
