I don’t think Russ is the guy you want as your 3rd star
Agree.
I don’t think Russ is the guy you want as your 3rd star
Then I think they are better off getting role players who can shoot.
Russ is good as the main ball handler next to another good player who can play off the ball. That isn’t the situation in LA.
Unless there's another one available it might be their best option.
I'd prefer Beal.lol
And the insanity begins...

or CJ, even LonzoI'd prefer Beal.
Not a fan of CJ.or CJ, even Lonzo
or CJ, even Lonzo
If we do.....Kuz gets dealt.
Good. Should have picked him up 2 years ago.
He might.
But Kuz isn’t really an asset at his salary. Might even be a liability.
And the Lakers could easily find roles for both.
Was listening to a great conversation over this past weekend.
Three main things that today's NBA players want when choosing any destination
1. Money. Without it, don't bother.
2. Playing time. Every players want to play as much as possible.
3. A coach who they can talk with and who will listen.
One of the guys was laughing and said, that he thinks that having a close friend on a new team would have as meaning as a coach. And then reminded everyone that today's players recruit for their teams because they want a friend to play with. Tatum and Beal are very cloe and he's been tryiong to get Danny to acquire Beal. Now that Stevens is the President, Tatum may get his wish. Steven dealt Kemba to OKC and the PG spot is now open. LeBron wanted AD and he's in LA. It's the horses that pull the cart and not the mules.
I think the Celtics need a PG that can shoot IF and WHEN he has to but can help both Brown and Tatum mature by taking the shots when they are there. I also agree that Beal is not a PG in the Nash or Rhondo mold.I agree with most until you made a PG reference. Beal is far from a PG. He's only had decent assist numbers when Wall was out injured. Are there enough shots for Beal, Brown, and Tatum? Celtics do have some youth that could be enticing, but their draft picks aren't high lottery anymore.
Russ, Beal, Lonzo, McCollum, etc.
none of these are going to happen.
Lakers are going to resign Schroeder and probably sign Carmelo and probably very little else. They have to settle Caruso and THT as well.
They just dont have the $ or assets for a major or even semi-major move.
I think the Knicks just sign Lonzo- and I dont see why the Pelicans would want to pay Schroeder a ton of money.
